I know for a fact that many (most?) don't, but I've heard some people on this board express things to the effect that they actually do. I just want to get it on the table, so we can be intellectually honest here. Do you believe in Demons, devils or evil things (is spirits a good word? I don't know.) that effect life in the material (mortal, human etc.) world?
And please, nonbelievers, this is supposed to be a moment of clarity here, don't bring "fairys" "ghosts" or "Santa Clause" etc. into this. I'm being respectful of their beliefs, so too can you be.

Thank you all for your honesty. I honestly didn't know it was such an "across the board" type of a deal.
Mel, you'll NEVER get it back. Bwa ahhaha.

I'm sure they'd prefer we didn't believe in them. I definitely believe they exist.
UPDATE: Actually, the fact is most western christians don't believe they exist, I guarantee you Christians in Africa who live around witchdoctors don't share our delusion.

The devil (or Satan) and demons are very real. The Bible clearly states their existence and activity in the world. For example, Job 1:6 tells about how Satan presented himself before God after "roaming the earth." In the New Testament, Satan tries to tempt Jesus (Matthew 4:10).
There are also many instances where Jesus drives out demons from people who are demon-possessed: mark 1:34; Luke 4:41. In addition, Ephesians 6:10-12 tells the Christian believer to "Put on the full armor of God" because our 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
As Christians, we are to believe the Bible, because it is the Word of God, and God's word is True (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, yes, there are demons who are followers of the Devil, or also known as Satan. However, the day will come when Satan is forever doomed: read Revelation 20.

Yes, demons exist. There were angels that followed Satan in the fall. What exactly they do here I don't know, but I know that they do have some power/control. It's not a huge deal, since God is SO much more powerful than the devil. It's not a power struggle! Instead of trying to discern what is demonic activity, I should be focused on God and what He's doing.

Demons are Fallen Angles, and are evil. They inhabit this Earth, and have since before Man was Created.
They are very involved in Human affairs. There are spiritual Princes over Nations, and Regions, even Cities, and Neighborhoods.
Satan is "The Prince of The Powers of The Air", and was Lucifer "The Covering Cherub", and Master of the Demons who Followed him in The Fall. Satan, and all Demons want to be Worshiped, that is where all Idol Worship, and False Religion stems from. They tirelessly blind Man to the Truth of Christ Jesus. But The WORD of God states that one day they will be forced to Bow, and confess that Jesus is LORD.
One last note; Hell was not made for Man, it was made for Satan, and his Angles. Satan, and his Angles knew God, and rebelled, they have no excuse, so there is no redemption for them. Heaven, was made for Man, who has the opportunity to be redeemed.

Yes, I do. You know how God has angels, well Satan is a fallen angel and all his demons are angels who picked Satan rather than God. And what about the Holy SPIRIT, also known as the Holy GHOST. I think those ghosts people always see are just demons trying to trick people.

Why do no longer you suspect? each and every little thing that Jesus stated replaced into no longer a parable. It tells which of them are: "the myth of the Fig Tree" "the myth of the Sower" "the myth of the skills" "the myth of the marriage ceremonial dinner" The Bible for sure factors those out as parables. Jesus solid out demons each and every of the time. It wasn't a parable while He did. Jesus stated they exist, so as that they do. He does not lie. right that's slightly diagnosis for you: Mark 5:a million-20 Matt.10:a million Matt.12:22-28

Respectfully and honestly: yes, I do believe they exist, and they do have an impact in our world, and in the lives of human beings. As do angels, God and satan. :)
Also, I think if you ask MOST Christians, they will tell you they DO believe this.

Your question is redundant. Christians believe in the teachings of Christ. Therefore they believe in demons. You cannot accept the teachings of Christ and reject the fact of demons.

Since Jesus agreed demons exist, and I am a follower of Jesus, therefore: yes.
You might recall Jesus expelled a few demons from possessing humans.
