When You Return
By Semper Fi 83 8/13/07

Lord, when You return,
Please remember me.
For, I tried to live,
As you commanded me.
There were many days,
Where I stutter stepped.
When I backslid,
Just to keep my rep.

Then I realized,
That You had a plan.
That I was a speck of dust,
In Your Holy Hand.
That out of Mercy,
You had set me free.
Your Holy Spirit,
Came to comfort me.

Who am I,
To hold back my praise?
I must Glorify,
You O' King of Days!
Sanctify me,
Whilst I pray.
Lord, please guide me,
Day by day.
For these things,
My soul does yearn.
Lord remember me,
When You return!

All the good rules to live by out there, and not enough people living by them. There are rules of kindness and honesty in basically all religions, but people tend to focus on the odd rules that allow bigotry, judging (usually false) and self-righteous indifference. Even the most basic social rules of conduct and interaction are ignored on a regular basis. What causes otherwise intelligent people to behave this way?

My dad was reading in a devotional book the other day that talked about how when we come to Christ, we are supposed to 'leave all our ambitions, and follow Him.' That has really been bothering me lately. I have always given myself a hard time about my running, I keep myself from doing it alot, coming up with wierd arguments to keep myself out of it, to keep myself unmotivated. I don't know why, its just that every time I start to have some level of success in cross country, I feel 'this shouldn't be this easy, and I start to doubt myself. "do I really deserve to be good at running?" "if so, then why?" "Why bother with a sport, all I could possibly be going for is personal glory." and then, of course I start doubting whether or not i'm even a christian, and I get all mixed up. Basically, I'm trying to settle this whole thing in my mind. I really want to run, and run to win, and so does my family, I just don't know how to get past my mind games. So, can I keep my ambitions?

This title should get some answers, eh?

Anyways, what do you think actually happened back then? Did the gospel writers fabricate the whole thing for the own maniacal ends? Did they hallucinate and "see" Jesus? Did they intend it as an allegory in showing the strength of Jesus' nature? Or was Jesus buried alive and actually come out of whatever comatose state he was in after a couple days?

my grandmother whom ive never seen eye to eye with has not told my husband and i congrats since our wedding in march. she knew however that we were having a simple outdoor wedding and not in a church because it was against my beliefs(im buddhist). my mother was very upset that she did not send us a card or anything after we sent her our wedding photos. well today we recieved our gift. first i should tell you that all she gives as gifts usually is a check. well our gift was a holy bible. i was furious and im trying to see the good in this or trying to think that she was trying to be nice but its hard after meeting this woman. im deeply offended. do i just send a thank you note and bite my tongue?

If you believe in ghosts... I know structures built over a burial ground usually end up haunted but movies never show what happens when someplace is torn down and something else is built. (This question refers to a place with no burial ground underneath it.) Would the ghost "move on" or would it hang around and move into the new place?

If Muslims don't want Islam to be perceived as encouraging violence, they should:
1. Stop committing violent acts.
2. Stop justifying those violent acts by reference to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
3. Stop saying violent or hateful things in private when you think no non-Muslims are around.
4. Begin comprehensive international programs in mosques all over the world to teach against the ideas of violent jihad and Islamic supremacism.
5. Actively work with Western law enforcement officials to identify and apprehend jihadists within Western Muslim communities.

Do these five things, and you'll find, voila, that perceptions of Islam will begin miraculously to improve.

Does that make Rick Romney a Zionist

And if so - since Zionists are also Globalists - does that make Rick Romney a Globalist

I mean it is no secret that all the trouble in the Middle East and all the wars have been caused by extreme religious right Neocon Zionists and Globalists.

So if Zion is Salt Lake City

And if Mormons are Zionists

Then - well - you get the picture.

If you're a devout Catholic would a relationship with a non-catholic be doomed to failure?
The fact that you will be constantly asking her to convert because as you love her, you cant let her have an incomplete path to heaven.

Why do we discuss whether God exists or not all the time, when we have far more better things to talk about?

Atheist or a theist, everything will happen according to how we live our life. Another amusing thing is that people fight over their religious Deities, proclaiming that their God is better and that their God surfaced first.

so, why the hell do people develop hatred trying to prove and disapprove the existence of God?

Ok, since they all insist we are part of a religion I propose creating one. Please tell me how it can be improved:
1. Services will be held every Friday night at the local bar/pub.
2. Your attendance is not required, nor will you suffer any repercussions for not attending.
3. You may choose to believe anything you like.
4. Discussions and theories will be chosen to tackle as the night goes on and the beer flows.
5. You are only required to pay your own bill. Your tithe will be to the waiter/waitress who is serving you on said evening.
6. The only god you may worship may or may not be the porcelain god at the end (or in the middle!) of the service.
7. You must be able to spell "atheist."
8. You should be nice to others, but since nothing will happen to you anyway, it is simply just good common sense and promoted by the Unholy Church of Unbelievers.
Ok, that's just off the top of my head...anything important that I missed?

I'm a high school senior. It's my final year in high school. I need all of you witches/wiccans/pagans. To pray to the Lord and Lady for my protection, to grant me guidance and wisdom, help me get better in school. Get the 2.0 GPA to get my diploma, I can't do this on my own, I need prayers, The Goddess and magick, to help me (Yes, I know i must do the work in order to strengthen the prayer.) My friend tell me that the more prayers from others you recieve the more power, you get, but you must send the back three fold. I'm willing to sacrifice everything I have to graduate, my social life, my time, I treat high school like it's college.

I wanna go to college to.

Who lied, and who told the truth?
How were Adam and Eve supposed to distinguish between good and evil acts if they didn't understand the concepts until they ate the fruit?
Why did God put the tree in the garden in the first place, if not to tempt them?
Why didn't God know they were going to eat the fruit ahead of time?
Isn't all this sort of analogous to putting a dish of candy on a low table, then telling a 2-year-old child that they must absolutely not eat any? Would you really expect to come back into the room and find no candy gone?

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The Gabriel in the Gospel said
Luke 1:

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
