Oh, some of them indeed do. They feel it is their duty to fight the belief in Jesus ( because according to them, Jesus did not exist )

I don't, I only get mad when the same Christians that wear a cross or otherwise advertise their religion get mad at people who express their own faiths (i.e. I wore a FSM shirt to school once, made me get another shirt from home..when nearly half the people at the school was wearing crosses, and "Got Jesus?" shirts...hypocritical bast4rds. So no, I'm not mad when people wearing crosses, it's just that when they go hypocritical on everyone is when I get mad.

No. I have several atheist friends, and they could care less what religious jewelery people wear. Also, it seems to go both ways; my religious friends don't get mad when they see people wearing pentagrams or whatnot.
To be fair, I think it would have to be something blatantly disrespectful and directed towards them (like someone wearing a shirt with a big cross x'ed out) to get a rise out of my friends. We're all pretty chill. ^^

just because someone has different beliefs does not mean they are lacking character and honor. as an atheist since childhood, i was fascinated by the incredible intensity of faith.
i collected almost 100 beautiful religeous artifacts just because of the love and honor these ideas and items represent.
so, no. we are in a time of crazy ****. i think most people value those who feel the need to spread love.
by the way, some weird incredible stuff has happened to me after the loss of a loved one. i had a otherworld visit and i now have no question of a higher power. God bless reed

I'm agnostic, which is closer to atheist than to religion and I wear a little "planet Earth" on a leather string and a celtic circle with a quartz crystal.
Earth, Cross, Star of David, Ankh or Pentacle ... It's all just the tribal jewelry of our choice, to me.

To be very honest, I don't often think about religion or God unless it's brought up, much like on the Society and Culture section of Yahoo!ANSWERS. If someone's wearing a cross I either think, "It's a nice gesture of them, to show support for God." I don't condemn it at all. I have my set of beliefs - I let everyone else have their set of beliefs, even if it conflicts mine.
There are a lot of misconceptions and conspiracies about atheists that are generally untrue.

Of course its not true. So if you don't believe in the Easter Bunny do you get mad when you see someone wearing a rabbit's foot?

No. Most of us respect other people's religion. Besides it's just a piece of jewelery nothing more. And a cross has many meanings, including some not so holy ones.

There's a lot of cross-wearing people out there... you can't stay mad forever. Seriously, most of us just believe in the freedom of, and from, religion.

I don't know. I am a Christian but shortly before I became one, I distinctly remember once feeling alarmed when I saw someone wearing one. The feeling lasted only a few seconds.
