This life is not enough
to understand a woman.
What a thing she is!
No dictionary has enough words
to say about a woman
whatever she is.
Sometimes we think
the woman is just like the summer.
Both may scorch all living beings.
A woman by saying harsh
and burning words.
All get burning anger.
Sometimes we think
the woman is just like the winter.
Both make all living things tremble.
A woman does it by terrifying.
Both make fearful all alive
made of bones and meats.
Sometimes we think
the woman is just like the spring.
Both make beings full of feelings
and dreams of love.
A woman does it by her charming smile
being full in glory and in full flower.
Both make the new world of love
pleasures and dreams.
Sometimes we think
the woman is just like the rain.
Both bring greenery
or destruction to life.
A woman does it by
showering his sweat
in the right or wrong way.
Both are useful
and both are destructive.

AND LOT OF KINDS OF HER ARE THERE. SO WHAT SHE IS?

Do you know if this kind of persecution took place here? I am not asking about the Salem Witch trials which everybody knows about and which falls in a different category.
I am asking about people who died because they did not belong to the accepted religion.

it's true that Jesus (peace to him) try to show an example of forgiviness, but do you want to know the secret behind it of why he may did this?

according to Islam. on the day of judgement when everyone is struggle on that day for all the sins he/she gains. on that day everyone will say myself and myself.

on that hard day of day of judgement, God will bring all those who been treated you unfairly (beat you unfairly, insult you unfairly, harmed you unfairly....etc) and will give you the permission to take some of their good points to yours for how much they were unfair to you. and if that person who was unfair to you have no good points to give it to you, then God will take away some of your sins and put it on that person.

so if someone slaped you in the face unfairly, you have guarantee his/her good points, so when you give him/her your other cheecks, you have guarantee double reward. so forgive as much as you can.

Firstly, for goodness sakes I'm not saying this has, or will occur, this is a HYPOTHETICAL question.

Hypothetical situation. you are out in public. and out of nowhere, from around a corner or whatever... something actively, clearly "Magickal" happens. I'm talking dramatic, hollywood turned real life, harry potter sorta crap here. just right in front of you, BAM. fireballs or magic bolts or force fields or whatever the hell you envision the best. I mean, like current day, CLEARLY "this is not technology, or "normal" at all" type things. clearly, unquestionably "supernatural" and manifestly, observably, go touch the broken glass type real. obviously not staged or a hoax or anything.

right in front of you.

and everyone else around you seeing it too.

how do you think you would handle it? would it change your beliefs? would you go insane? would you just not belive it was real, even though it happened right in front of you?

are going straight to hades. like no matter how good they are and how heroic and how selfless, no matter if they are babies and kids in third world countries who havent seen a church or had exposure to religion of the christian sort, all go right to the firery lake on a greased shoot. if that is the god all you christians love he kinda sounds like a jerk...no offense intended but thats just horrible. I see no reason to worship someone whos sole passion is himself and love of him, do you realize that when you look at it that way god comes off as not only vain but as somoene who will condemn a person to torture for not feeding his ego?

I treated someone who liked me w/terrible disrespect and in the same manner, it's come back. Is Karma out to get me? Why can't I just lose my wallet or something for all the bad I've done?

By their tenants: there cannot be happiness but through god, and any other form is considered as a sin... which ends up in their cases to evolve into a behavior autopolice by which bitterness, bigotry and envy is the only outcome.
christians don´t you see? No sane one wants to be like you. Yu turn good people into zombies and bitter judges.
If you want to plead, fine, but don´t give me verses:
I say: NON SERVIAM!

The MOST famous name for God in the OT is called the Sacred Tetragrammaton –It is YHWH.

Yahweh was changed into Jehovah by Christians -- Mark 12:29

Harpers Bible Dictionary says that the name JEHOVAH was "the result of the translators' ignorance of the Hebrew language and customs" (1985 edition , p. 1036)

Jehovah is a mistaken name of YHWH.

The Book "World Religions From Ancient History to the Present" says : "The name Jehovah is a medieval misreading and does not occur in the Hebrew Bible" (edited by Geoffrey Parrinder, p. 386)

The Interpreters Dictionary of the Bible says the name Jehovah is "an artificial name" (vol. 2, p.817)

Asimovs Guide to the Bible says that the name Jehovah "arose by mistake" (vol 1, p. 135). The author further says : "This mistake has persisted and will probably continue to persist" (p.135)

"When it came to God's name instead of putting the proper vowel signs around it, in most cases they put other vowel signs to remind the reader that he should say "Adonai". From this came the spelling Lehouah, and eventually Jehovah ...(pg. 8 ,Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 1984)

"The truth is , nobody knows for sure how the name of God was originally pronounced". -(page 7- Watchtower Bible and Tract Soceity, 1984.)

The name Yahweh is derived from the statement God made to Moses in Exodus 3:14. Moses asked God as to what his name was and he got the reply -- "ehyeh esher ehyeh" .

The editors of the NEW JERUSALEM BIBLE explain this as : "The Hebrew can be translated literally 'I am what I am' , which would mean that GOD did not wish to reveal his name to them" (p. 85)

"The truth is , nobody knows for sure how the name of God was pronounced" (Pg. 7 - Watchtower Bible and Tract Society)

Below is the true name of God for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear…….

Besides what is governed by law Atheists are unable to use religion/doctrine as a guide to forge their personalities and daily behaviour, so they must instead rely on themselves to ascertain and develop morals to be good people.

Religious people, however, choose to rely on religion/doctrine to forge their personalities and everyday behaviour so their own opinion matters less when they ascertain and develop morals to be good people.

Therefore Atheists/Agnostics have purer morals because their morals are not tainted by peer group pressure. They just want to be good for no other apparent reason.

In this time and age, since we all read the bible and contemplate on it several times in our lives, is it enough to say that God should have already destroyed the world 2x over in the last decade. Why? Because of the sin of man, the more the decade approaches the more sinister we become, oh..so you are not concern because you are that good, come on, remember the bible "those who have no sin, cast the first stone.." Maybe God is already talking to us, remember Katrina's fury, more draught, more hurrican, tsunami incident around the globe, and much more will come definitely unless we turn to God, the more we turn our backs. So it is time for God to do the appropriate move? Time of reckoning?

Sorry to be so exclusive (No offense meant if you're not Christian!) it's quite a specific question though...

I've found through my Christian life that yeah - although the positives have definately outweighed the negatives (I've gained SO much through being a Christian, and would pray that I never give up), I've also lost some quite significant things (I'm mainly thinking of a time I went through a couple of years ago.) Yeah, I have maybe gained some things through it, but I lost a LOAD of confidence through the experience (although that's returning), and I'm very aware that I need to trust God more - good tips or prayers would be greatfully received.

Here's a random quote!
To be drawn to someone is to want to get to know them better. In any relationship there is risk involved – can I trust this person? As we get to know them better we make that decision but generally after having risked a small something to trust them with.

How come muslims dont realise burkas/najab and islam are the ultimate sexaul objectifiers of women?

Take a porn star...

She has a name, a face, a personality, is individual to other women and people in general. Has a social life, friends. Most likely spends her money on things she likes doinf. is independant. Hopefully will find boyfriends and ultimately a long term partner/husband who is likley to be in the industry due to the jealousy side to things.

Possibly may switch to couple porn. ie with hubbie.

Most likely will live her dreams and travel the world and have fun etc.

Picked thet job as the opposite .

but for most people amy see a girl as sexy, they go over to talk to her. and find out shes into gymnatics, loves rock music, does skydiving, has lots of friends and part of a surfclub.

A girl in islam simply existed to be hidden, made to marry young to be nothing more then a sex object to make babies and look after them never interacting in the world, no friends

I find that this is often misquoted (and out of context, too) usually by "name it and claim it" prosperity preachers. They tend to render it "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he" in support of the whole "positive thinking" (YOU can make it happen, brother !) teaching.

Accurately quoted and in context -

"Do not eat THE BREAD OF A MISER, nor desire his delicacies; FOR AS HE THINKS IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE. 'Eat and drink !' he says to you, but his heart is not with you. The morsel you have eaten, you will vomit up. And waste your pleasant words." Proverbs 23:6 - 8 (caps for emphasis).

Does this REALLY support the "confess it & possess it" group's teaching on the power of positive thought ?

Do you have any thoughts on this, and any examples of other often misquoted and misapplied Bible verses ? 10 points for the best (or should I say, WORST one).

May God bless you.

AWSOME. I have never seen anythink like that before. At my sisters church a girl told me that see saw it too, and another chrisitan girl I just got an e-mail from said she saw it too. It was about 2am in the moring I noticed it. It was awsome. Jesus did say in the last days which we live that we will see signs in the Heavens moon and the stars. I saw a sign in the moon last night, did you all notice it too. You really could not miss it if you saw the moon. It was spectacular. A large perfect circel surrounded the moon that was bright that was very large. It was very pitch black in the inside of the circle but onthe out side ot was bright hey? Awsome.

According to the Holy Bible, Jesus celebrated Passover with His disciples by eating the traditional evening meal called Seder. This happened on the 14th of the first month of the religious calendar. After the meal, they went to the Garden of Gethsemane. Here, Jesus was arrested, then taken to Annas, to Caiaphas, and in the morning, to Pontius Pilate.

The 14th is Preparation Day for the high day on the 15th which is the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. If Jesus was crucified on the 14th and was in the tomb for three days and three nights, He must have resurrected on the 18th. Add 40 days, He must have ascended to Heaven on the 43rd day from crucifixion. But Pentecost is 50 days from Passover. The disciples therefore waited for 7 days for the coming of the Holy Spirit. Is that logical?

Why should I not become a mass murderer? If it makes me happy, if I feel good doing it, and especially since there's no consequences for my actions beyond this lifetime, why shouldn't I just go out and slaughter whoever I want, whenever I want, as often as I want? Furthermore, what if I only murder people who are impacting the world in a very negative way, so that I leave the world a better place than when I got here, and a better, safer place to live for future generations? I ask this question seriously, and would appreciate serious responses only. This question is asked in light of the very respectful answers I got to my questions yesterday.
