I'm not Christian but one of the things the bible teaches is that all people are the stewards of the earth, meaning they are *supposed* to be taking care of it anyway. It wasn't until the industrial age that it all went to the garbage heap with a passion.

I'd like to see a Pagan driving a big fat SUV.. I don't know any who do. Most Pagans I know couldn't afford one to begin with, and wouldn't have one if they could. We don't generally have the mindset that humans have dominion over the animals and nature, as some religions believe. We like the earth the way it was made and don't think humans have "improved" things much by decimating the environment.

I think it's great that Pagans have always been so in tune and friendly to the earth. I admire you guys so much for that! But I also think it's a good thing that more people are trying to be "green" these days, despite their motivations. It certainly can't hurt!

Pagans used to be farmers...
Anyway, pagans know their place in this universe. Respect that which is stronger than you, and you'll survive. Don't, and you'll feck everything up, even yourself.
Too bad the others didn't quite catch on to that until it was too late.

That can only be a good thing although I have seen people caring for plants by spraying them with things that are poisonous to animals and children. Guess we still have a way to go...

Absolutely. Metaphysicians (Religious Science, etc.) find it hilarious that people (scientists)keep "discovering" how mind works, but never seem to realize that the power of mind has been taught for ages. The Secret is an example, but at least its author gives credit where it is due.

Because the pagan only has the earth and nothing else. We have a living God who is going to give us a new earth.

Actually, the Christian's god started celebrating the first "earth day" the very night the first man and woman were created. And every "seventh day" from then 'til now believers have been "remembering" by "keeping the Sabbath."
