are going straight to hades. like no matter how good they are and how heroic and how selfless, no matter if they are babies and kids in third world countries who havent seen a church or had exposure to religion of the christian sort, all go right to the firery lake on a greased shoot. if that is the god all you christians love he kinda sounds like a jerk...no offense intended but thats just horrible. I see no reason to worship someone whos sole passion is himself and love of him, do you realize that when you look at it that way god comes off as not only vain but as somoene who will condemn a person to torture for not feeding his ego?

An Inuit hunter asked the local missionary priest:

"If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?"

"No," said the priest, "not if you did not know."

"Then why," asked the Inuit earnestly, "did you tell me?"

Yes, I see where someone ignorant of Who He is and what He's done would have that opinion, but it stems from a lack of information and a failure (or refusal) to believe the Truth. There is enough of God's divine nature revealed in nature and the heart of man to make every man guilty who rejects Him. The fact that every culture on earth has a religious ideology is ample evidence that there is a Force at work. Knowing this, it is up to those who know this to see Him out and find out all they can about Him, and we all have, in one way or another.

You refer to those who have never heard the Word of God, but in this day and age, there's very few places where the Word CANNOT and DOES NOT reach, and even before this, all men have shown that they know the essentials of God because all men make for themselves laws. As the Bible states, "When they who are not under Law do for themselves the things required of the Law, they become a law unto themselves so that no man is without excuse." By making laws and recognizing that some things are wrong, all men show that they have some inherent understanding of God, and since I know of no one anywhere (outside of Christ alone) who never violated any part of any law to which they were subject, all men are guilty of sin. I'm not saying it isn't sad, but it isn't about God's supposed ego either. It's about justice, and God is as just as He is loving.

Whatever Christian that told you this is a liar. All children go to heaven up to he age of accountability, which is about 13 years old. As for those who have never heard the gospel, they will be judged according to the way they lived. The person who told you this is ignorant of the bible and definitely ignorant about what God says.

Hello again. Actually, the image that we've been given of hell is NOT TRUE, the fiery lake, et cetera. Hell is actually just a place of misery, and separation from God. And no one gets "sent" to hell, they CHOOSE hell.

God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. Hell was not meant to be a place for His creation. So, anyone who seeks God, TRULY seeks Him, will find Him.

Children don't EVER go to hell. People who have never heard of Christianity wouldn't go to hell either. The God I know is just and fair and merciful. Anyone who goes to hell has chosen to go.

Not only that, but remember in Dante's Inferno, where there were different levels of hell? I actually think that's accurate. I don't think that an atheist would suffer in hell as much as say, Hitler. That just wouldn't be fair.

And one last thing. People are not TORTURED in hell. Their main torture is their own conscience and regrets.

Believe me, I've seen hell, and it isn't the way it's been described.

Yep, that's the way they see it. What they fail to mention is the fact that by their own logic, all of the over 200,000 non-Christians killed in the 2004 tsunami went to Hell.
I guess that wouldn't make their side look very "Christian". Personally, I have a problem believing that a perfect entity would act in such a jealous and spiteful manner.

Nope, basically that is an all or nothing statement and reflects an immature belief as a Christian or a lack of knowledge at an unbeliever.

There is no way that your goodness will get you into heaven. However, God will judge you according to your knowledge of Him. He has provided a way for you to go to heaven. You can accept it or reject it.

Hell is a myth, but the Christians have scripture to support this belief.

I think you summed it up pretty well there Hun! I think this is the picture of God that is painted for us by Christians. Fortunately I know Her better than that.

You said it.
The Christian God is not a very pleasant character. In fact he behaves more like a man.

Unsurprising - they created him in their image.
