It would seem to me when all the pro catholic answers were thumbs up, and all the honest answers were thumbs down.

Why is a challenge taken with such venom?

Granted that its the over all faith of the Catholic Church is what counts in the end and not her sinful men. However when one talks about sexual abuse on such a large scale - not just in the USA but world wide lets face it - it signals an extraordinary failure by its institutions. Initially the administration tried to cover it up. Now that the cat is out of the bag the Catholic Church has lost a lot of credibility from within and without. There are many things that are not foundational doctrine or tradition but just institutional traditions. Is there nothing that she can honestly change to regain the lost confidence and trust and revers or minimise such glaring weakness?

Presumably this would guarantee this.
BTW my disbelief is based on the implausibility of god[s],but the idea of eternal life is a strong motivation.

Muslim men can marry Christian or Jewish women and they have a right within Islamic Law to NEVER convert or change their faith.

Look it up !!

Yasir Arafats wife is still a Christian.

This is solid proof Islam has no command to force others to convert.

Q Why did Jesus die? A. To save us from our sins. This is as logical as asking Q 'Why are oranges round? A. Because I crossed the street yesterday. Boh answers are illogical. They don't pertain to the Question.
And why all the drama? He's God. He can think salvation into reality for mankind.

that I am not a Christian. Answers like "Because you aren't" are stupid and will be ignored. What I am looking for is someone to explain how they have the right to judge my personal walk with Christ when they have no knowledge of what is in my heart.

The debate over evolution and creationism is a hot topic in this category, there is no question about that. What I would like to know is why do so many of you people get all bent out of shape the second someone brings up the subject? It seems to me that the ones blowing their stack are trying to compensate for not having a good point to make. What do you think?

Why are atheists angry with Jesus and even make offensive remarks about him?

Is there any proof which supports evolution, isn't that a hogwash theory?

Also, isn't atheism also faith - just faith that God doesn't exist?

How do I pray? Is there a right or wrong way? Sometimes when I pray I feel like I am being too informal to God and that he shuns me for not taking the traditional procedures of kneeling, putting my hands together, closing my eyes, things like that. Please tell me your opinion.

Are there any passages in the Bible that say this? If so, where?
Could there be other "scripture" that has been lost?
Is the Bible perfect? If so, why?
If there was more, would that be a good thing?

Please use references.

If yes, when is a long reply a good one? When is it a bad one?

If no, why?

I find myself feeling a little insecure about my sometimes rather lengthy replies... I apologise for that, and I also ask for some input to make my replies more readable.

What would be your rules for writing a helpful answer to an R&S question?

'All me are sinful' is drummed into kids at a young age! Then comes the life of slavery to a fake god as it's too late. What kind of weird cult is this? How can anyone not see this!!

The Atheist's Wager states as follows:

You should live your life and try to make the world a better place for your being in it, whether or not you believe in God. If there is no God, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. If there is a benevolent God, he may judge you on your merits coupled with your commitments, and not just on whether or not you believed in him.
