No.
For it to be a theory, it would have to be defined much better than it is. The term, "God", for example, has no real definition. At most, he's some mysterious invisible superbeing. There's no test one can devise to demonstrate its existence or non-existence.
The way a scientist would put it, the theory that God exists is not just not true, it's not even false.

Well I suppose thats technically true. A theory is used to signify a conjecture, an opinion, or speculation and since all religion really is a matter of opinion... If you're using the word theory the way I think you're using it then you'd be correct since theory can be used in several manners. But if you were speaking scientifically you'd say it were a hypothesis instead because theories in science and mathmatics are LOGICAL explainations of why things happen. I would hardly suggest that gods are a logical explaination to why things happen.

No. A theory needs to go through a lot of rigorous testing. The Christian God is more along the lines of an idea or a belief. It can't even be a hypothesis because there is no way to test!

Any proof can be done! Believing in God is not in relation with reason. We have to overcome the reason entering in a greater understanding of ourselves and the world around us. All is theory until you know what you surely get in your heart.

I'm not trying to be mean here....
But my question to you is.....
Why wouldn't you believe in God? Are you breathing? God gave you breath. God gave his one and only son, Jesus to die on the cross for your sins and everyonelses.... if you believe in this and LOVE God and try your hardest to live for Him....you can go to Heaven once you leave this earth. If not.....well.... you go to Hell. When Jesus comes back (which could be any second) and you are still this way you can't go with Him. Don't wait until Jesus comes back or you leave this earth (whichever comes first) to actuallly see and believe, by then it will be too late. The proof you ask, is The Holy Bible, it has all the proof you will ever need, God created the world, there wasn't a big chemical reaction that occured-how much sense does that make?, Also us Christians go on COMPLETE faith. Everything around you is proof, including yourself, since God gave you life, can't you give Him a little faith and credit for all that He's done for you? You've got to understand, this is eternity you are talking about... So my final question is.... would you rather believe in God, become a Christian, and live for Him and then spend eternity in the best place ever....or not believe in God, not become a Christian and live however you please and spend eternity in torture, forever and ever and ever?
Please think about this...please

A theory is based on evidence and sound reasoning. The Christian God is nothing more than primitive superstition.

Not really - the huge misunderstanding is that a scientific theory is totally unproven. A theory has many many years of experimentation backing up results.

I as a Paegan/Wiccan with Christian beliefs, I do believe in God and I do believe that Jesus died on the cross to save those who believed in the word of God, find this question troubling to answer... but honestly, since you brought it to my attention.... Yes, he is, as are all religons. They are a way of life, guide lines for living as human beings.

It's not even a theory, since there is no way to prove it wrong. At best, it could be called a hypothesis, but even that is a stretch; hypotheses are testable. Perhaps the best description is idle speculation -- idle, because it is provably useless.
