Muslim men can marry Christian or Jewish women and they have a right within Islamic Law to NEVER convert or change their faith.

Look it up !!

Yasir Arafats wife is still a Christian.

This is solid proof Islam has no command to force others to convert.

Arafat was a pretty secular muslim. I think it would be different with the head of Hamas. I have heard of cases where social pressure has been applied to encourage conversion.

Anyway, that is just "par" behaviour; nothing to boast about. Just saying you aren't utterly foul in forcing conversion is not a proof of general tolerance.
However what is shameful is disowning, violence and even murder of people who convert from Islam to other faiths. That is well-shameful. Muslims here often quote the no "compulsion in religion" koranic quote, but there are later, harder more authoritative statements. Your fellow-believers actually do these murders to this very day sadly. It's not a blessed thing to kill an apostate.

That's rubbish. Muslims are incensed at the idea of any non-Muslim marrying a Muslim and yet refusing to convert, much less suffer those people to freely practice their own religions. Just as they're only too happy to mock other people's religions and religious figures, but absolutely CAN NOT tolerate anyone doing the same to them. Aggressive, absolute conversion is one of the founding principles of the culture of Islam and the countries where it's prevalent.
