Nope, not this Pope or the last few.
I remember John 23rd the 2nd and Paul the 6th and JP 1 and JP 2 and Bene the 16th.
I've never heard any of them preach the gospel.

sure! i became at Camden Yards Baseball Stadium in Baltimore while Pope John Paul the great got here in October, 1996. He celebrated Holy Mass for an overflowing stadium, and it became superb. He preached the gospel for us that day, and a brisk wind whipped his flowing gown as he stood previously the team proclaiming the words and then chatting with us approximately his reflections. a style from the Holy Gospel is proclaimed in each Catholic Church interior the international on the Mass celebrated each and every day. i'm optimistic that most of the Popes have celebrated Mass every day, and the two they or an helping priest or deacon might do the "Gospel analyzing". The Pope might then in all probability supply a sermon or homily on the Gospel that have been examine. i'm hoping I even have responded your question on your satisfaction.

Yes.
Unfortunately the TV and radio stations will rarely let people see or hear him.
Here is a link to Vatican radio: http://www.vatican.va/news_services/radio/index.htm
The Catholic News Service will also publish the teachings of the Pope: http://www.catholicnews.com/
In addition, anyone who say Pope Paul II at almost any time of his life saw him preaching the Gospel. As St. Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the Gospel always, and when necessary use words."
With love in Christ.

I was lucky enough to be in Rome last year and hear the Pope preach. He spoke in seven ~ yes, SEVEN ~ different languages ... Italian, German (he is German born), English, Polish, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
His sermon on that day was the final in a cycle of sermons about the disciples and the nature of 'disciple-ship', that is, how are people disciples of Christ and how they can become disciples of Christ.
Being the last in the series, the sermon was about Judas Iscariot and his role in the betrayal and death of Jesus.
It drew on things we all do in our lives ~ betraying ourselves in small ways through lack of moral courage, for an example, and showed that through belief in the resurrected Christ everyone could be reborn.
Hmmmm, I dunno, I thought he sounded like a christian, but as the second answerer said, she doesn't ever bother to listen to anything the pope says, so she would of course be an expert.
What a lot of ignorant hogwash some people talk.
I'm not even a christian and I can see the judgementalism, ignorance (and unwillingness to learn) and outright spite in many of the answers.
Reminds me of that quote about whited sephulcres. It really, really does.
I think I need to stay away from R&S for a while, there's precious little of either here.

On July 8th - Pope Benedict said in his sermon:
The Gospel “reawakens in all those who are baptised the awareness of being missionaries of Christ, called to prepare the way for him through words and the witness of one’s life”, because mission “is not reserved solely for the Apostles but also extends to the other disciples”.
This was what Benedict XVI had to say about that days' Gospel reading (cfr Lk 10:1-12; 17-20), before the Angelus.
Taking his cue from this passage, he stressed that “the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few.”

The pope preach? I am not sure he would know how. Perhaps, this is why the current pope wants to take the mass back to Latin? Then, who, but a few, will ever know what he is saying!
This pope is no shepherd according to the Word of God! Promoting division was not what Christ taught! We are to love all, especially our enemies! Not offend them when you are a leader of a church!
If you used the term, "Gospel" I am sure he would name the four Gospels! Teach them? No.

Yes, each and every Pope throughout the history of the Church, starting with St. Peter down to the current Pope, Benedict, have preached the Good News.
Recently, Pope Benedict spoke forcefully about the value of human life, and the importance of the family.

Yes. Any time he or any other priest leads a mass, he recites directly from the gospel, not to mention in most sermons.
