My father is Jewish and Mother Christian. I was raised completely Jewish, had a Bar Mitzvah, never went to Church. Recently, I have begun to know Jesus I think. Can I be both Christian and Jewish? Will I still be saved by Jesus if I consider myself to be Jewish as well? Do I need to be baptized for me to be saved? Will being baptized make me not Jewish anymore. Thanks for your time, appreciate any and all answers.

I'm a religious person and I live for God everyday. I'm just curious, how does an atheist live their lives. Are they happy, sad, lonely, empty or don't feel nothing? I'm not judging I promise. I respect people by how they come across to me. I don't care if your rich, poor, black, white, believe in God or not. Their people too and I'm just wondering what it's like. Did you become an atheist by choice, or brought up in it? And if you don't mind, please don't bash or speak negitively about God. Even if you don't believe. I'm just asking. Don't worry I'm not gonna throw a bible verse at you, I think that's hypicritial when people do that. And another thing, what makes you not believe?

In Genesis:1:26, God says "Let us make man in our image..." Who else is He talking about when He says "us?"

The question is on Idependant thinking. We are told by the society not to be independantly thinking, but isnt that how we are designed, in the bible doesnt it say to check for ourselves what we are being told and to think for ourselves and no let others opinions sway us?
Along those lines, why is it when a person of prominance comments at the meetings, and voices opinions on something(forinstance:saying myspace should be avoided all together as a general rule) does no one say anything? they are voicing dogma, their own opinions bases on principals no law. why is nothing said? its like its taken as law and thats it, some one said you cant, even though its their opinion its taken as law?

I would also like to know, ,what items it holds in what hands, how it sits, and what it all represents.

I really need to be exact, a picture would be helpful too and maybe even a website!

Thanks. Every bit of information helps

I am curious, I read on a regular bases commits about Christians, churches, and Christianity in general, and there is such an anger, a hatred in so many commits, and I am curious why? I can’t speak for Christians or churches in your area, but I can tell you how they are here in the coal towns of SW Virginia. Many in these small mountain towns depend and would suffer greatly without these people. Bag lunches are fixed and delivered to hundreds of school children who are now out for the summer, who other wise would have no lunch. When there is a death in our community the churches come together to prepare hot food, bring chairs, tables, drinks, groceries, to the family to help with the influx of family and friends for the funeral. At events like the 4th of July, Labor Day, and Christmas parade, they hand out free bottle water, coffee and hot chocolate.

NOTE: The above question is only for Christians that like/support/are ok with Harry Potter; D&D, and other fantasy books and games; any responses from others will be ignored, and not considered for best answer.

As a Christian, please give your defense to the above subject matters, and tell me why they are not a problem to you. Do you think that it's ok for kids (and adults) to read, watch, and play with fantasy material, as long as they don't engage in real occult practices? How would you keep them from getting involved in real occult practices, if they enjoy this fictional fantasy stuff? Be as complete with your answers as possible; as the best defense will get chosen for best answer. Thank you.

P.S. With your answer, consider what the Bible has to say about being involved in occult practices.

First,I'm a Christian myself,

Second, as far as alien life is concerned, especially intelligent life;my opinion based on the Bible is that there is no(with the only exception being microbial life maybe) other life in our solar galaxy.More than likely becuase when God created intelligent life,He purposely separated us 1 intelligent life form to a galaxy, proabably becuase we are created to serve&please God,not to just revolve around ourselves&/or marvel at the other life forms.
Matthew 7:3-5
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
hou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

If I didn't get regular violation notices I'd think I was doing something wrong. But imagine my astonishment when this perfectly innocuous answer was purged by the Yahoo! team --

Question: "Me and some high school friends of mine want 2 make our youth group more exciting than it has been in the past. I'm looking for a more interesting name..."

Answer: "'Beer and Weed' sounds like a winner to me. Don't whatever you do reject this suggestion until you've run it past your group."

Now I ask you, what is wrong with that?

A Catholic just told me that Christians can still believe in evolution because monkeys came first or something. Yet sometimes I see atheists use evolution as a prime example of proving that Christianity does not exist. Couldn't Adam and Eve have been like monkies or something? Did humans have to be the first thing they created?

I guess it could be that they are under so much pressure from the world since everyone knows who they are! But some of them have fallen grealty! And its disturbing to me because it kinda does damage to the reputation of others even though they had nothing to do with it. Not all evengelists are the same! There are some true warriors out there who will do anything for God and help others. Some forget that we are human beings and human beings make mistakes! Sometimes very costly ones! But is it being under the spotlight that makes it more difficult? Of course secrets cannot be kept forever! If Someone has a problem with adultery or lust it does not take long for that to be exposed!
