First,I'm a Christian myself,

Second, as far as alien life is concerned, especially intelligent life;my opinion based on the Bible is that there is no(with the only exception being microbial life maybe) other life in our solar galaxy.More than likely becuase when God created intelligent life,He purposely separated us 1 intelligent life form to a galaxy, proabably becuase we are created to serve&please God,not to just revolve around ourselves&/or marvel at the other life forms.
Matthew 7:3-5
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
hou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Matthew 23:25&6
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter,

Thees few among a few others, while on on an individual level say to take care of yourself before worrying about others;can probably also be applied to the idea of aliens. No doubt aliens are out there, cuase i dont believe God makes many galaxies for nothing;but aliens are not in our galaxy generally shouldnt be becuase if their world is filled with sin as ours is,they have equal or more problems as us.Not to mention that we are separated one to a galaxy not only becuase we each have our own problems, but becuase the main reason for our existence is to serve God.

Opinions please.Valid idea or no?Explain your reasoning please?

I agree with you. There is no intelligent life except on Earth. Unfortunately some on Earth are not that intelligent...$mitty would be a great example of that!

God Bless.

The Bible does not address life on other planets, although the Bible does tell us the earth is round and that it moves around the Sun.

My belief is that God probably created human beings on other planets. They may not be exactly like us, but, I believe they will be very similar.

The existence of intelligent life on multiple planets would increase the chance that God exists.

When I started reading Issac Asimov, around 11 I think is when I discovered him, I learned about the odds against intelligent life forming. Asimov wrote about only one intelligent species. Asimov was an atheist/Chemist/Biologist who believed that Earth won the inter-galactic super-lotto.

I decided, mathematically, that intelligent design (God) had to have made things happen as opposed to "winning the inter-galactic super-lotto". It helped that Christ came and gave me a swift kick in the ***.

So, to me, finding another intelligent species would confirm intelligent design since "winning the inter-galactic super-lotto" twice relatively close together would be mathematically impossible.

PS: Smitty is a moron. The Solar Galaxy is an old way of saying "milky way", it is the Galaxy Sol resides in.

I just figured the passage was related to the Moties, but, then I am a sci-fi fan from age 10 and read the book once twenty or thirty years ago. I could be wrong.

Hi. I don't understand what your scripture has to do with your point about aliens but call me stupid. As far as aliens go I, too, am a Christian and I can't say positively no, there is no other intelligent life on other planets in other galaxies. Something crashed in Rosewell. Eye witnesses were threatened with their life if they ever talked about it. Some stated on their deathbeds that there were alien bodies. There are other examples of the same. I don't know what to believe but what if Jesus's "other sheep" that He spoke of when He said, "I have other sheep that are not of this fold" may have been even broader than just the Gentiles to encompass other civilizations on other planets? Is our God not great enough to have created them and died for them? It's possible. If He did, do they have souls? These are all things we have no way of knowing for sure at this time. These are all questions I plan on asking Him when I get to heaven. lol Have a good day.

Hi Maurice,

Unfortunately, the Bible does not outright tell us. The thought of other intelligent physical beings out there is exciting. However, like you, I reluctantly concluded that we are probably alone.

Obviously, the following is my own speculation, but I figured that since the Bible says that Satan was cast down to the earth to mislead it, why would he be ONLY confined to the earth if there were others on other planets out there to mislead? (Rev. 12:9) And why would "Christ (die) once for all time concerning sins" ONLY on earth if we weren't the only intelligent living beings in the universe? (1Pe 3:18)

I could be wrong, but it appears to me that a lot (if not all) of the divine focus has been centered on just this one planet. Why would that be if we weren't the only physical intelligent beings in the universe?

That is not to say that God couldn't have made some kind of unintelligent life out there. But as for intelligent life, unfortunately the Bible makes it seem kinda doubtful to me.

I really don't know what I believe on this issue. I think it's possible. We can't prove they don't exist (just like it can be proven that God doesn't exist).

I personally believe that aliens will be blamed for the mass exodus of Christians from this earth when the event commonly called the "rapture" occurs. The rhetoric is starting to set up for it now, with some high-profile people coming out to say they believe in aliens.

i'd like to know how that passage relates to aliens? are these aliens pointing out faults in each other before acknowledging their own? i personally think it's extremely selfish to think that in a vast universe that's billions of years old, that we're the only living beings in it. how do we not know that out there somewhere in the dark there are beings capable of reason and feeling? why would a god give us such an enormous playground yet confine us to a tiny playpen? doesn't make sense. i think since humans can only relate to humans, we wouldn't even be able to comprehend another race of beings that is unlike us. we still have that problem here on earth (racial tension for example). and as far as being put here on the earth to serve god, i totally disagree. i didn't choose to be here. and i were really given the free will that god supposedly gives everyone, he would've asked me before he stuck me here. who cares if aliens exist? if they do, then they're probably smart enough to stay away from us seeing as how effing microbial and pathogenic we are as an organism.

I disagree with your reasoning.

Just because GOD does not reveal something to us DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT DOES NOT EXIST OR WAS NOT CREATED.

The Bible explains OUR Relationship to GOD in this small part of creation. It does not attempt to explain ALL OF CREATION. Our salvation here and now. NOT every thing that GOD has ever done or is doing.

To me CREATION is so vast and complex that GOD himself can only understand it.

Consider just this molecular level alone. On this scale there is no known limit as to the expanse of creation. For ALL ETERNITY you could travel it AND NEVER SEE IT ALL. In that VASTNESS is a plethora of creation. Stars and planets replete with inestimable life forms and on inestimable planets in inestimable star systems.

However if you add into the mix MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS within this molecular level you have added again INFINITE parallel universes !!!

Going from this MOLECULAR LEVEL up or down you again add INFINITE LEVELS OF CREATION.

Consider any common object, a table. Inside that table at the atomic level are many molecules which can represent stellar systems . Just to travel from one end of the table to the other , at a molecular level, takes a great deal of time.

Now consider the other end of the scale where WE are just part of a "Cosmic Table". We are in the middle scale of the molecular table below us in scale and the infinite table ABOVE US IN SCALE.

Who BUT GOD sets the limit of HOW MANY DIMENSIONS OR MOLECULAR LEVELS THAT ARE ???

At EVERY LEVEL, it is my opinion, there is an INFINITE VARIETY OF LIFE.

GOD AND HIS CREATION IS WITHOUT LIMIT.

Please do not limit your imagination OR JUST HOW GREAT AND GLORIOUS IS GOD AND HIS CREATION.

JESUS Bless you,

dave

I can't really rule it out... but the Bible is seemingly mute on the subject.
Although God clearly has created any number of other life forms which we do not regularly see ie. Angels and if you take into considerations some of the descriptions of what Ezekial (?) saw. I'd say if He so chose to do so.. then God is perfectly capable of creating beings other than what is on this planet.

Nonetheless, He would still be worthy of worship from whomever He has created.

(Waves bye bye to $mitty and his totally uncalled for remark)

There is intelligent life out there.....the technology that would be needed to get here is way over the top for our little minds at present....

Earth is under a quarantine status with Satan bound here since we are the only part of creation to SIN....don't need to infect the rest....

we are as the ants...not worth the trip...there is no intelligent life here yet....

So you don't believe that god may have other children in another solar system? Why? What make you think we are the only ones? Of course he's not going to tell us there are others but wouldn't that be a whole lot of wasted space out there?
