Why can't we all just get along?

Sorry to the jews, witches, pagans and any one else I left off the list. It wasn't meant to be all encompassing.

You're right we should all get along because we all disagree. We will never prove our points to others that are determined to never listen. Let us all speak kind words to each other! :)

There is no rational reason to attack anyone for anything.

We don't all get along because people who are not stable in what they believe feel threatened when someone questions their belief. There are others who just come here to disrupt things and have no sincere desire for knowledge at all. There are also those who are so set in what they believe that they are extreme dogmatists who will attack anyone who dares challenge their belief system even if that challenge is made in the most polite and gentle manner.

Differences are what makes society great. Loving others in spite of what they believe should be the rule, however, the sin nature in us will not allow it.

Life is short
Death is sure
Sin is the curse
Christ is the cure.

We can't get along because we all (not me) think we have the "one true way" (sigh). Here is a perfect example from an AP article:

Pope Benedict reasserted the primacy of the Roman Catholic Church, approving a document released Tuesday that says other Christian communities are either defective or not true churches and Catholicism provides the only true path to salvation.

Okay, so here we have a VERY influencial man, using his powers to enforce exclusionary ideas. It's all very sad. We will never all get along. It is just human nature, and religion just enforces it.

i'm a Christian and that i've got not finished between the failings you're conversing approximately. i'm an electric engineer. I place self belief in technology to make my living. i've got no longer persecuted everyone pretty a minority. in case you suspect some thing, repeating it particularly is not any longer a lie. i'm no longer harm and susceptible. you are able to say in spite of you prefer. i do no longer accuse you of being mean, in basic terms insensitive. in case you think of that we've a incapacity, why bypass out of your thank you to declare so? Do you bypass as much as genuine disabled people and say, "you're disabled." Do you bypass as much as a drug addict or alcoholic and say, "Why do no longer you in basic terms end?" that's incredibly insensitive and ineffective. i'm hoping you have a metamorphosis of coronary heart approximately this. i'm in no way going to mock you. I choose you the terrific and need you discover a thank you to peacefully coexist.

<<<<<<<< I came to this site to hear your uninformed opinion on a concept you don't support.

Could you people please tell us what you believe and spare us your opinions of other beliefs?

Or are you defined by your lack of respect for the ideas of others?
>>>>>>>>>>>>

Is text I keep to paste into time wasting questions designed to create doubt in other people. If people want to cast doubt then keep it to yourself until someone ask the right question then put it into your answer, otherwise Y!A will never work as intended.

I initially came here to learn what other people believe, then was offended enough by critical people that I started criticizing back.

Now I think I'll just tell people that try to work doubt magick my little incantation and hope they get the point. If more people did the same thing then in time we might start learning about what other people believe instead of what they don't believe.

Not one person out there believes as much stuff as they don't believe and most don't understand what little they do believe. This site should be about finding faith, not destroying it.

No kidding. Go ahead and pick on Wiccans. I can take it. We are a strange bunch. :)

I don't understand why people can't get along simply because of a different beliefs. My being Wiccan has made huge rifts in my family(devout Christians unwilling to see it as anything but a Satanic cult...) and I've lost some friends as well. I do find it rather hilarious that my mom forces me to go to church and all the pastors and people there adore me... They don't know I'm Wiccan. If they found out(which one pastor did... she doesn't even look at me anymore... Probably afraid I'll hex her or something. lol) things would be totally different.

Anyways, I kind of rambled... But I do like sarcasm, and I am one of those people who is secure enough to poke fun at myself.

You shouldn't attack any belief . This is a narrow minded attitude and immature. You have generalised which is plain stupid. You need to wake up to the real world and develop some tolerance in your heart and understanding of others and their beliefs. You may learn something and surprise yourself. Grow up!

Ah a Nontheist, go away, if you don't want to attempt to make people question themselves all the while finding it amusing, then so be it.

"Atheists for lack of belief" - There are different types of Atheists, ones who assert there is no God/Gods, and ones who hold a lack of belief in God/Gods.

I am one of the former.

As the saying goes if you find yourself in a perfect church leave before you spoil it! People are inherently flawed and that's the problem.
