The word is never used in the bible that I know of but the bible does talk about the end times.
also could anybody tell me the verses that talks about this....Already know rev.

What God says, goes! The Lord hath said we shall not suffer a Witch to live! And so it must be! The Lord also hath said no MAN shall lay with a MAN the way he lays with a woman. Being either a Witch or Gay shall sentence ye to an enternal damnation in the burning flames of Hell!!?

OOPS!! Look at the time,u'll have to excuse me for moment, i have a date with my girlfriend to go see Harry Potter 5.

Listen- Leviticus says gays are wrong. but it also says that if a man dies, the brother can take the wife. It also says that a woman should be stoned to death for adultery and so on. Then Paul says homosexuality is wrong. But he also says that women should keep their heads covered at all times and that they should never speak in church. You are not supposed to have sex before marriage. Eating shellfish is an abdomination of God. So why do people take the anti- homosexual part and throw out the other parts? If you say homosexuality an unforgivable sin, all women forever hold you peace in church or go to hell!

It just shows how ignorant and inconsiderate christians really are. It's really cruel to depress gays of thier natural feelings.

...........when there is no credible evidence for him ever even existing and the story of his life is so remarkably similar to that of many divine figures from other religions that came long before christianity such as the Egyptian god Horus or even Buddha to name just two of many?

If there was a Jesus, and he were the son of God, wouldn't you expect his life story to be a bit more original?

Why didn't one single scholar (outside of the bible's discredited authors) living in the time Jesus was supposed to be alive record his story? (The references from Josephus were secondhand and written in the year 92 bce. He was the only scholar of the era to make any reference to someone named Jesus)

In the Old Testament, the Holy of Holies was the central part of Jewish life, and in order to care for it, priests were appointed (Chosen), and from amoung them, a High Priest. So, with Jesus as our tabernacle for the New Testament (He is our Holy of Holies), why does this not hold true today with a heirarchy of priests, bishops, and one High Priest. (ie, the Pope) Does this not seem harmonious to the quote that Jesus made: Matt: 5:17." Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 5:18. For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled."

That is to say, even down to the tassels the priests wear, nothing will change.

We all know that Jews and Muslims cant eat pig,
in the old testament, it says something about pigs being filthy and not to eat them.
well anyways i was saying this to a Christian friend of mine, and she said that they dont take this literally, because they go by the new testament...
and when i asked why, she said that the old testament was written before "Jesus-God" came down to earth, where he realised that it was too hard for Christians not to eat pig....
Isnt this undermining gods greatness?? like he didnt know that it was "too hard" not to eat pig UNTILL he became human?? And how hard could it be in the first place???

the way i see it is all people ;atheist,agnostics,other religions,non-believers etc...there problem really isn't with christians it's with god or jesus christ.change what god said then you change what christians,believe or practice(hopefully).think about it your beef is with what god says.

Seriously. Religious types can be so nosy!

Who cares weather or not two consenting adults have sex in the privacy of their own home, no matter what their gender is? They're not making you watch.

Who cares what someone else does with their own body? They're not forcing you to do it too.

Who cares if someone wants to smoke pot, or get a tattoo, or watch porn, or do whatever, as long as no one is getting hurt?

It's great if you stick to your "moral code" or whatever, but not everyone has the same code, and you shouldn't try and judge everyone based on yours.

Why do fundies feel the need to try and regulate other people's lives for them?

First off...I know it is no longer a part of the doctrine....but just humor me...

Since it is no longer practiced, and if a mormon DOES practice it and they are excommunicated could this be a suitable loophole...

just having a bunch of women living with you? Watch big love...it's about a guy who grew up on a compound, he was kicked out and found the truth of the LDS faith, then fell out of faith and went back to polygamy....but I don't think he actually married them, I think he just has kids with them and gives them a home and money....

So, is that still polygamy?

i had always thought that the bible was part of the christian religon and all religons that fall under it

is it true that the bible belongs to no religon and its just the bible. by this i mean is there any version of the bible out there that is "pure" and "untouched" by any religon because if there is i want to start reading it asap! also if there is can you please tell me where to get it
