As a Christian, I believe the bible when it says that you don't choose God; rather he chooses you and 'draws' you in. And if you get chosen and drawn in, and accept Jesus, then after the supernatural things start happening to you, you will 'know' that Jesus is real and that He loves you. Until then, you are spiritually blinded and just don't get it. And since Jesus hasn't chosen you...yet, if you want to be an atheist, that's ok. Jesus died for the sins of the 'world' which includes you. And that even covers the liberals. Your day will come, and I don't mean that in a negative way. God bless

There is no actual historical evidence that indicates Jesus ever existed. Mary is an adaptation of the ancient Mother Goddess, and there were many candidates for title of "Messiah" 2000 years ago. It's possible there was a man named Jesus but he was only a good public speaker and a ritual magician. In fact "Jesus" was a common name 2000 years ago! Some 3 centuries after his alleged death, Jesus was declared a divinity by some religious council. Christians believe in these stories because they are unwilling to think for themselves, they're simply to scared to think! They expect us to blindly believe what they believe, but we think for ourselves.

Because they need it. Creation is an excellent credible piece of evidence.
Sparklers may look like welding rod, but that doesnt mean theyre both good for welding.
After studying the NT on the college level, I find no other figure in history that comes close to fullfilling the OT prophecies like Jesus did. Those other things you mentioned dont even believe in the God of abraham or creation.
The Biblical authors are only discredited in the minds of unbelievers, not scholars universally.
Luke the doctor was a first rate historian. The truth is you cant accept the testimony not because of the path it took to get to you, but because of what it says. Be honest.

We don't expect you to; just hope you do! Once you feel and experience God's love and guidance, you do wish everyone could experience it. Some of us believe that once the seed is planted, there is tremendous hope. Do atheists have that strong desire to say to christians, "Come on! You'd be so much happier and at peace if you don't believe in God?" Because in my heart, that's what I feel; that if you did believe in God, you would be happier. Sorry.....
Maybe if there is no tangible evidence, it's the 'faith' part that we accept Him. I guess evidence to me are the many miracles I've seen in my life and the christian experiences I've shared with others. I'll try to let you know more once I meet Him if I can find you :) Just kidding....have a good night and very good question!

First of all where ever did you get the FALSE notion that there is no evidence he ever lived, a portion of the placard nailed over him on the cross HAS been found recently, written in 3 languages, with his name (Yeshua) on it! Also, the Bible itself give FIRST Hand Testimony as to his existence. You had better do some REAL RESEARCH before you go spouting off about things you know nothing about! And in 2000 years will anyone know you were a real person?
We don't EXPECT ANYONE to accept Christ. We hope, pray and testify that everyone will someday accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Friends don't let friends go to Hell!
Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, "so that men are without excuse."

Did you know the author of Ben Hur the movie was an athiest.
Josephus was not second hand, he wrote what he saw...he is credible as were other witnesses as the Jewish leaders, and his disciples.
If you wipe away the bible your wiping away history.
And dont forget satan mirrors much.
And recall that no other god has risen, all are dead.
The NT talks of God being plain for all to see, he has made it clear for all.
Credibe evidence....if its not credible why all the huff and puff trying to kill the idea after 2 thousand years.
If the roman guard had proof then, we would not have your ? now.

A thinking Christian does not expect you to accept Jesus as the Son of God...or as the savior and redeemer of mankind. However, the best we can hope for is that perhaps something we may say will be the trigger for you to listen when God calls you. It is not that we want you to be like us.....It is that we want you to have what we have...because we love you as a fellow child of God.

Josephus is suspect in the minds of a great many scholars. He had ulterior motives.

I'm not familiar with the god Horus but how can you compare Jesus with Buddah? Buddah never claimed to be a savior or the son of God.
I can't think of any other religious figure with a similiar story as the one of Christ. Seems pretty original to me. Sounds to me like your talking out of your ass.

You refuse the evidence as well as you refuse God. You have a choice. Free will is given to you along your great working mind. God gives you choice to reject Him, and you give Him reason to reject you. God is doing what you choose in this matter.
