If a woman chooses to have an abortion, the father has no rights regarding the termination of the child, yet if a woman chooses to have the baby, the father is obligated to pay child support.

Doesn't this imply that women have full rights to a child's well being and therefore a father should only be obligated for responsibility toward the child if he also chooses for the woman to have the baby?

Note: I am pro-life, and would rather no woman ever had an unwanted pregnancy.

Also, shouldn't the burden of responsibility regarding pregnancy fall on the woman, since a man can't get pregnant?

Genesis 1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.
Genesis 2
The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
Genesis 3
Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
Genesis 4
And God saw the light, that it was good; and god divided the light from the darkness
Genesis 5
God called the Light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

dont see no direct line saying he created darkness....is it just implied to me it seems like darkness was an already manifested entity just wondering what some thoughts are

According to Defcon there is.

The new anti-science Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, has nothing of value to teach about the development of life on Earth -- but that doesn't mean we haven't learned anything from it.

A new poll released by DefCon reveals the enormous schism within the religious right represented by the museum. The poll shows that 95% of Evangelicals reject the Creation Musuem's strange, dino-friendly version of Creationism. In addition, only 10% of self-identified Evangelicals support Intelligent Design. While religious right leaders like James Dobson lump all forms of anti-evolution together, the new Creation Museum is showing us just how deeply divided the religious right really is.

More than half of the people who agreed to answer a survey believe Answers in Genesis' Creation Museum is "bizarre," "Biblically inaccurate" or "scientifically unsound," a recent poll shows.

(It is so simple. Abuse of the "report abuse" icon is listed in the community guidelines.)

So when we get an unfounded "violation notice" should we click the Customer Care icon and simply write:

"Please investigate the person who reported this as a violation, cause that person has obviously abused the "report abuse" icon as listed in the community guidelines."

"Also, please delete their IP availability so that person cannot sign-up again under a different name and consequent more abusive reporting of others."

...and disfunction? How do you let it go when it seems like every person that you meet from this religion seems arrogant and alloof and acts as if they are doing you a favor by being in your presesnce? Surely the religion is promoting these kinds of behaviors or it would not be so common. How does a person just ignore this religion and not let it affect them?

Why is it that Atheists have nothing better to do than hang out in the religion section and preach to believers that there is no God.

Why does it bother them that others believe?

Why do they care?

Jesus was the cornerstone, St Peter was the rock, the apostles a part of the foundation..What the heck was Jesus building if not Apostolic succession. So, up until the Restoration, most people in Europe were Catholic, and shared in that succession. Protestants should know at least part of their heritage...so...who was the second Pope? (Sorry if it seems I'm being smug, but, well, I am. I really like the second Pope's name and I'm wondering who else knows it.)

Many Christians say that the purpose of our lives is to praise and glorify god... but why?

I know they believe that god created us and we should praise him in thanks for our lives but if our purpose is to do just that it's kind of silly no?

My question isn't why SHOULD we praise him, it's what is our praise good for? Why does god need this so bad that if we don't do it he has good reason to torture us for eternity? Is it just to feed his godly ego?

.. they are more than willing to tell us that we are defective? If the Protestant groups are upset that we point out that they don't have valid Apostolic Succession , why don't they go to Old Catholic bishops for Ordination, make public profession of belief in the Mass, the divine command for Holy Orders.etc.? Hmm? Why is it that they can constantly criticize us Catholics but we can't say why we don't recognize their "full church-hood"?

The Pope said if you're not Catholic then you're missing a big part of the faith, what do you think?
The Bible says you can pray to the Father. You don't need a priest to talk to God. Pray through Jesus. He is the Savior.
