As a Christian, I say I do not live in fear, cos i know that the Lord is with me.

I feel more happier and contented after embracing Christianity.

Thank you Lord for showing me this path. I hope others will see the light as I did.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Im particular there are chuffed atheists yet no longer mushy ones. chuffed defines being chuffed for a 2nd. which ability your chuffed for a quick time and then that feeling is going away. exhilaration lasts continuously. no matter what is going on on your existence whether this is solid or undesirable you're nevertheless smiling and loving existence. Why dont you ask your self or the different atheist are you chuffed familiar? Are you chuffed each and every 2nd of each and every hour? If an atheist solutions definite to this question they're lieing to themselves.

In seeing some of these answers, I would like to digress just slightly from your question and say this. Christianity is not about feeling happy. If someone tries out Jesus to see if He can make them happy, but instead receive trials and tribulations like He promised would happen, they will turn away in disgust and in fact be more opposed to Him than before. I am not saying Christians are not actually happy people, but that is not the card Jesus played to draw people to Him. But to answer your question you are right, living for others feels good.

Well let's see. I am an atheist. I have vocal cords. I can speak. So it is PRETTY FREAKING EASY TO FIGURE OUT HOW I CAN SAY THAT PARTICULAR SENTENCE.

I think you are wondering why some atheists make that claim about some (not all) Christians. I don't know why. Some theists have tremendous guilt because of their religion. Maybe that is why.

PS - FYI, a sample size of 1 does not help (Jerry smoked 2 packs a day and lived to 92, therefore smoking doesn't cause cancer - nope that's not how it works kid.)

They say that because theyre projecting themselves. THEY would be miserable, not we. Im happy as well, as happy as I can be in this life anyway but I know better things are in store. Jesus rules.

Because I am a former christian turned atheist. During my days of "faith" so to speak....I was the most miserable I've ever been. I just constantly felt as if I had to be guilty for every thought that came into my head and I had to apologize, even for my impure thoughts. I also never felt any sort of "love" or "presence of God" and whatnot. I felt as alone as I always have. Nothing in my life changed. It was just a stupid phase. And I hope it shall be a phase for you as well. Religion is for people who would rather be ignorant than inquisitive.

before i was a Christian... i was only 'happy' in each moment i selfishly indulged in what i wanted to be satisfied....and then i was 'empty' til the next moment could be found...

i only found true JOY once i accepted Jesus Christ.... and even in times of sadness or trials.. i have that peace and joy that only Christ could offer.... not some 'church or denomination' but in accepting Jesus Christ and his ultimate sacrifice ... being Born again is like no other 'high' the world can offer

I guess they can claim anything. I didn't used to be a Christian, and wasn't really happy. Since I've been a Christian, I have been happy. I recommend atheists becoming Christians to see for themselves !!

I think atheists making that statement is just another one of their blinded ways to justify their unbelief in God. I'm happy because this (life on Earth) is NOT "as good as it gets" for me!

Here's something REAL for you atheists to believe in:

I'd be unhappy at the thought of billions of people being tortured for all eternity in hell
