It's not money that is the root of all evil; it's the love of it:
Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil:

I don't know the history of why the treasury prints that on our money, but perhaps it is a reminder not to put our trust in our money, but rather in God.

it isn't money is the root of all evil, it's the love of money is the root of all evil. we should have in God we trust printed on our money to remind people that we should trust in him and not that almighty dollar they carry around. if we love money , then we lose sight of the things that are really important in life and put money above every one and everything else. and yes, i do expect you to pick the bible up and read it, don't wonder what things mean in it if you don't really care and can't make the time to pick it up and learn for yourself. if you had read it and truly didn't understand it or needed others insight on the topic then come and ask, but don't just write what you assume it says just to get people started.

1 Timothy 6
8. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

maybe that is the reason that those words were put on there....

money (refering in bible time ) was alot of when Caesar was leader

although it is the American money that says that ... and so it is on there by different standards, and not ( Caesars money )
but a government, and nation that trusted in God

But it is not the money (thepaper and the coins themselves that are the root of evil,)) (( it is desire of it , and an overpowering want of it , more then God) that makes it root of evil... and it can lead to much greed and.... so on

We have "In God we trust" on money because 'man' chose to put it there....

Money is not the root of all evil today, nor has it ever been.
The Bible teaches: "For the love of money is a root for all sorts of evil..." 1 Timothy 6:10

Loving money creates in us greed and greed causes us to do a lot of things, rob, steal, murder, etc...

There is two sides of every thing, just like the saying there is two side of the coin. We need money in order to survived but the other side of the coin money can be used for the wrong purposes, such as greedy gain at the expense of others. Drugs can be used for helping people with their health problems but the other side of the coin drugs can be used in a very abusive way. Sex, sex is good in marriage but sex can be taken and be used in a very degrading way.

Because the United States and our government was founded and has survived through to today on Christianity. It was the reason the pilgrims came here to begin with. Its not the money that is evil.It is the greed of the people.

The United States is Manasseh, God's battle Axe. We bring up countries and bring them down. This country has the lost children of the Israelites, the descendants of Abraham / Issac. God promised Abraham, his descendants to be blessed. Manasseh is the son of Jacob of the twelve tribes, which became thriteen.

St. Paul said "The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil". It is ,is it not?
Everything in America should be stamped as such.
Money is neutral it's what people do with it and about it that makes it evil or good.

The complete quote is, "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil", not just money itself.
