I believe in the rapture. It is mentioned in 1 Thessalonians.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.
__________
The English word "rapture" is not used in this passage. However, the Greek word in verse 17 for "caught up" is translated into Latin as "rapturo" from which we get our word "rapture".

Really the whole New Testament speaks of the return of Christ and the Rapture of His church. Especially all the scriptures after Jesus' Crucifixion. But to understand the whole thing start with prayerfully reading Matthew and work your way to Revalations. There is no way to understand what is going on in Rev without reading the beginnig. As with any other book, you can't start at the back and you have to know what happened in the first chapter to understand what happens in the end. And yes I 100% believe that the rapture will take place and I believe according to the Bible with the signs of the end times it won't be long. May God Bless you and help you find the answer you need.

Matthew chapter 24 and 25 addresses the end times. Verse 30 begins the description of the event that is often refered to as the rapture. Several parables are used to describe the need to be prepared. Verse 31 speaks of the gathering of the elect.
Many places in the Bible talk about the gathering of the elect....even in the old testament prophecies.

Yes, I believe. It may still be a long time coming, but it is supported in the Bible.
"Rapture", when used in eschatological terms, is an English word used in place of the Latin word raeptius, which is taken from the Vulgate, which in turn is a translation of the Greek word harpazo, found in the early Greek New Testament manuscripts of 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
In many modern English translations of the Bible, harpazo is translated; "caught up", or "taken away".
"Harpazo" \har-pad'-zo\ Greek; "forcibly snatched away", "taken for oneself".
If you are really interested, the whole wikipedia page gives a lot of great history. There has been a lot of speculation and debate surrounding the idea of the rapture.

the rapture is a picture of something. see that Bible doesn't say what it means. it means what it means. otherwise our savior would be a little lamb. satan would be a snake or a dragon. we'd have a beast with 7 heads and 10 horns running around...
or if we really believed it word for word we'd be chopping of limbs when we sin. poking out eyes...
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by everyword that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
doesn't this mean we should be living this rapture? or "harvest" if you will.
1 Thes. 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
now look a little closer at this verse. its like one of the 3d eye puzzles. the key is in "we which are alive and remain". remain what? remain alive!(but what does alive mean?) 1 Co. 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
or to use Christ's words
Matthew 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

No I don't, but the fact is rapture has absolutely no barring on my salvation therefore if it happens so be it.....
There are no verses that say anything about ascaping from here! I believe the ones that people use are taken out of context to the real meaning..... Being caught up doesn't mean being taken away....

Do a search on Darbyism and find out that all of this rapture nonsense was invented by Darby in the 1800's.

Yes I believe it will happen, I know it has been predicted for thousands of years, but everyone assumes it calculated in our time. In Gods time, one of our seconds could be a day or a year for him, so for him, it will happen soon, for us, it may still be thousands of years down the track. There is so much we don't know.

How desperate are you for a better life? I reckon I could con you out of your earthly possessions if you really want me to. Then you could feel less worldly and more in tune with nature, if you wanted.
Let me know. Just kidding!
