A question was just asked about a teenager not being allowed to wear her purity ring to school and how that was an attack on religion. However, the questioner failed to mention that jewelry of any kind was banned as part of that school's uniform policy. This is a prime example of how misinformation or only giving part of the info is used to promote certain beliefs. How does this blatant fraud make you feel? Do you see this kind of tactic in use regarding various beliefs? How can people know what to believe or combat false beliefs when such tactics are used?

I'm just curious.

Since I don't believe in hell I don't have an opinion.

But my fanatical aunt says Hell is a volcano with constantly flowing molten lava, and all the sinners will be thrown into the volcano and walled in so they can't get out. There, their skin will be scorched by fire and lava for all eternity.

Just wondering why someone that is atheist would even bother looking under religion. Is it to down other's beliefs or boredom? I am not being mean, it was just a curiosity.

This time I would like to know some of your personal reasons for being an atheist.

That was more the line I was looking to go on my last question, but didn't do very well.

Lev.15:19- 24 states I am not allowed to have contact with a woman when she is in her time of menstral uncleanliness; however I cannot tell when a women is on her period and generally have to make assumptions depending on their mood. Would it be safer to just make all women currently on their period be required to wear a sign? I really do not want to offend God so I need some suggestions.

...of a lemming of the RRR Cult to ignorantly and desperately denigrate and disparage atheists? For NO factual reason that they could ever cite.

Talk about people who have NO lives! (LOL!!)

(And I'm a Christian, so have no ax to grind here. It is good for society to learn and remember that 83% of Americans are *professing* Christians. OF that vast number, only 6% are the PSEUDO-Christian bigots of the loathsome RRR Cult. The **other** 94% of Americans who profess Christianity are your very normal, non-obnoxious, tolerant, and workaday friends and neighbors.

I had a neighbor in Texas who is a Jehovah Witness. She explained to me why they don't celebrate christmas, birthdays, and other things that most of us christians do celebrate. I've heard people say that Jehovah Witness's will tell you to your face they believe in the same God and same Jesus that general christians believe in, but they truely don't believe in them and the bible like other christians do. I've also have been told that once they convert you and get you deeper into their religion and have brain washed you enough, that's when the truth about their relgion comes out, like truely not believing in the bible, Jesus, and so forth. What's the deal? What do they truely believe?

I just asked a different question about baptism and this was what one person said at the end of his answer.

"You are not saved before baptism, nor is sprinkling or pouring baptism scriptural." (in context he were saying only water submerging is acceptable)

In your opinion, is that a true statement, especially the first part that you are not saved until you are baptized?

Why is it found to be offencive?
i spoke to a man from pakistan, and i was asking genuine questions, and he spoke down to me, and said that it offended him.
i asked him about the laws of his country, like for getting married etc, and if it was still the case, that men could marry more than one woman. And he got so annoyed with me.

i didnt think the question sounded bad, does anyone think it did?

also, would you be offended if a person asked you about your culture or religion? i would have thought most people would be happy to tell, but then again i always assume that people are proud of where they come from.

thanks for any genuine replies (i seriously did not want that question i asked that man to come across badly)

Assalamu alaikum! Ok so I am a recent revert to Islam and I feel lost and I don't know what to do. I am learning how to do my daily prayers on my own, preparing myself to wear hijab, and basically trying to learn as much as can about Islam. The mosque here is being rebuilt so they only offer Friday prayers. I have not been to the mosque yet, so I don't know what to expect or what to do. I'm scared and excited and I don't know where to start with everything. Any ideas and thoughts? Tell me everything!! lol

If you are a revert: How did you make the transition?
If you were raised Muslim: How can I make this process easier?

How do you reconsile statements such as "people who have objectively studied religions become atheists" when you have people such as C.S. Lewis and Lee Strobel who were atheists UNTIL the very unobjectively (in favor of atheism) studied religion?

Are they telling you that Jesus died to save you from your sins and the true steps to accept this free gift of salvation that Jesus taught us.. about being born again in water and in spirit?

OR

Are they really sharing the news that the people can join the one true religion and live forever on paradise earth by following the Watchtower...where they discourage being born in the spirit since that is reserved for the 144k with heavenly hope which were finished in 1935?

(please note that the second option is not in the Gospel)
