Giving all due respect to the science & technology in bringing a better life to humanity in their inventions and discoveries on all aspects of our life, My Question is since some of the people take science as their religion and so what moral lessons did scientists teach the world?

I meant to say, One has to take both to be successful. Denying one other is ignorance.

First of all, morals have been handed down to prophets from the Gods since the dawn of time. No one religion has the market on that.
You confuse things. Science isn't a religion. They do not believe science is a god. They don't worship science.
With Science comes knowledge. Many times its knowledge about humans. What we feel, think, why we do things we do. Its made us more compassionate as a species because we can walk in someone else's shoes even if its only in a lab.
Morals, love, kindness is NOT confined to one certain religion or religion at all. You are confusing conscious with soul. They are not the same the thing. You can be a nice person with out being part of a religion. There were morals and law around before Christianity. Read the 42 confessions and denials. The 10 Commandments are sort of like cliff notes to that.
It's arrogant to think that one certain faith is the center point of all humanity. Love comes in many forms. Religion is only one of those forms.

Religion hast taught great morals to mankind? Like:

1. If someone doesn't agree with your god, kill them.
2. You can do whatever you want and then repent and still go to heaven
3. It's ok to run planes into buildings in the name of god

Science has nothing to say about morals. Why should it? That's not what science does. And I know of no one who takes science as their religion. That's a bogus statement.

uh...science isn't supposed to teach morality....that's religions job.

That's a really stupid question.

Kind of like asking...

How come Jesus didn't know the world was round !??? Why didn't he say anything about Dinosaurs !??? He never once mentioned DNA !!!??? What about Nuclear power ??!!?? Jesus could have at least mentioned electricity, so mankind could have gotten an early start on civilized society ! Why didn't Jesus tell everyone about how they evolved from MONKEYS !!!??????? How come Jesus didn't teach the scientific method sometime between walking on water and turning it into wine !????? Comon' Jesus, !!! throw mankind a bone here !!!!!! We were freakin savages with no microwave ovens or high speed internet !...and not a single warning that GWB was going to be the president.... I'm disappointed.

BTW, science is what is allowing you to preach your pro-christian veiws to people on Yahoo....so be grateful. Science is what allows televangelists to broadcast their nonsense tot he world as well. Tommorow morning science will allow your alarm clock to go off, and it will allow you to call in sick to work as well if you choose to. Science can let you download the bible if that is your thing...

Giving all due respect to science and technology?

Are you following the news, do you read history, did you ever pick up a book other than the bible of quran. Evolution is science, is it getting its due? Stem cell research is science, is it getting its due?

Starting from how to start fire (or even before that) till the computer you are typing on is a result of science.

Morals, what morals are you talking about. At one point of time those with leprosy (sorry for misspelling) were treated like untouchables, those women who questioned were burnt as witches, and so on. Even now, right now, people are killing each other in the name of religion.

Scientists taught how to challenge authorities, question beliefs held for ages, come up with answers to unresolved puzzles. I can go on. Are you open minded enough to listen?

Animals (humans, other mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish, etc.) and plants were all born innocent. Scientific (biological) study does well to show us that they were not brought to the Earth simply for man's use and exploitation. Through competition, symbiosis, predation, parasitism, etc, we all share a space and yes we have to kill things to survive, but there is a balance to be struck. Science is the vehicle that most often takes us to this understanding and realization, providing us a framework with which we can respect our surrounding environment rather than simply try to conquer it. Religion does not help us to feel compassion for all of the planet's organisms.

To respect nature and all it holds is a very strong moral stance. Yet some religions claim that animals, plants (and even women!!) were put on Earth for man's benefit. Scientists tend to be the environmentalists.

Science is morally neutral at its best. It is the pursuit of knowledge, not the application of knowledge for good or evil. It cannot decide what is good or evil anyway.

I do not think religion gave morality to mankind; rather, mankind gave "morality" to religion. Rules developed so that we could live in civilizations (a good explanation for why rules are shared fairly well across cultures).

Without science, God would have been unable to determine that smashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16) was an effective punishment for unbelievers.

God may have introduced the morality of infanticide, but science teaches up what actually happens when an object encounters a stationary rock formation at high speed.

Let me ask you, what scientific advances have religions brought to the world? None? Correct, because that is not what religion is about. And science is not about teaching morality. As Stephen Jay Gould put it, religion and science are "non-overlapping magisteria". That is, both are majestic achievements of humanity, but they answer different questions. Now please stop bashing science.

Science is not about morals, its about knowledge. And not all the morals religion teaches are good morals. Tell me, are religious wars good? Is murdering for your religion good? Is torturing for your religion good? And then there's the ONE moral you Christians should be listening to that you don't.... "judge not lest ye be judged".

Think about it.

I prefer science. At least science doesn't go around mass murdering for the sake of its belief.

Scientists teach the world that they are greater than God.
They teach the world , to stop believing that there is a God,because they can clone a human being. They are trying to make the world believe that they can create life.
