A user just answered that "science allows for the possibility of the existence of God. " Which one, please?
There are over 25,000 gods in recorded history.. so which one did science pick out as the viable one?

in a earlier post, an answerer stated that persons who rejected their former sinful lives and accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour had low self esteem

the exact quote is
"people with low self esteem are the ones where religion has a strong hold on... "

I am in no way critisizing this post. I am curious to know the opinions of non-believers in particular. Do you concur with this statement? Do you think that as a non-believer that you have high self esteem? Please explain your answers.
thank you

I can't help but to notice how so many Christians on this site keep calling other Christians not "true" Christians.

Please explain to me who gave you the authority to call someone a "true" Christian or not. As far as i know the bible teaches us Christians, not to judge others. You do not know what is in the heart of another person, therefor you have no idea if that person is indeed a "true" follower of Christ.

I don't remember reading anything in the Bible that says we have to walk according to another Christian... Don't you think you might be missing the point of being a follower of Christ?

one of the main reasons why i dont believe in God is because even if you are a good person at heart, you are very nice and respectful and giving to other people, that you will still go to hell for not believing in Jesus Christ. In that case if God is real i dont mind going to hell then, i dont believe in him but in the christian view point, im going to hell, even if you are the nicest person on earth. Thats something that im willing to go to hell for wether it exists or not, and i cant see how you can understand why God does it, i dont and its not a God that i am willing to trust and be with when i die.

It has been calculated that it would take 17 times more rain clouds to flood the earth, and they would have to dump ALL their moisture. How can people be so gullible and believe a fictionary work about as reliable as the DaVinci Code, which is correct only as far as it relates to Jesus married period?

Going to a church late this week, the pastor stated to me, my 1 month old will go to Hell if he isn't baptised if he dies. I have never heard of this. Where in the Holy Bible does it clearly state it?

An enemy is a religious person. They pollute and use foul language. They hate science and only destroy the world with their nonsense. They are inefficient robots that need books and cartoons to think for them. Atheists will replace you and that is a fact. Why?

Because survival of the fittest = loving those who love you. Not those who will destroy you with the hail marry fundie madness! Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses you too shall smell the aborted babies you overpopulate the earth with.

We will out survive you all. If any atheist is against me, you are for your own abortion.

Seriously, if mormonism is so blatantly wrong, why do people lie about what the Church teaches?

Ive always been one to believe that if something is false, the truth will make it very apparent. yet its clear that those who criticize mormonism have little actual knowledge about it or are just outright lying.

Like the claim Joseph Smith had no witnesses with him. Almost every single event of the restoration occured in the prescense of multiple people. Some testifying to they day they died that it really happened dispite falling out with Joseph and losing political power because of it.

Or claiming we don't believe in that salvation comes through Christ. Hello?! have you read the Book of Mormon? it doesnt get much clearer that we are saved through Christ!

Or the claim that we dont believe Christ divine. once again, the Book of Mormon proves it wrong! Even a casual reading of it would make that point very clear!

Or the outrageous claim that DNA science somehow disproves the Book of Mormon. Never mind the fact that no one has the requisite DNA to even test that theory.

Or that there is no archaeological evidence. Right… so the fact that Joseph described a route through Arabia that no one knew about that even has the name and description of places accurate is just a huge coincidence. You might not find it convincing archaeological evidence, but to say there is none is an outright lie.

And I haven’t even really scratched the surface. So seriously, if Mormonism is so wrong why lie about it? I can understand not believing it or being skeptical. But why try to confuse the facts if your position is so strong? It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

why do some people add and subtract from the bible? what you see is what you get, i just hear some people say "oh i believe in jesus christ and heaven but i dont believe in hell", how can you not believe in hell when the bible states that there is? another thing doesnt the bible state that committing suicide in a sin, but yet i hear people say that "not if you have mental disorders, or if you are emotionally distraught? i dont see that written in the bible anywhere, if you committ suicide thats a sin, you cant repent for that. im an agnostic, but im just confused on how people envison God the way they want him to be and not for who he really is written in the bible. Im not a christian anymore, but when i hear christians say these kinds of things it makes me think that some christians are just plain retarded and dont know what they are talking about, in the us you are taught to believe that christianity is the only solution, so in that aspect its really easy for a less intelligent

YOU ARE EVIL THAT IS WHY YOU REJECT US.

SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.

THIS IS THE SUPREME LAW. WE ARE NATURAL BEINGS, WE LIVE IN NATURE WE ARE NATURAL. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!

Since you abuse the world with your toxins and overpopulation madness, since you can not use the technology we created and gave to you, then we will take it back by force. We will not let you crush atheist-kind. We did not evolve only to be crushed under the weight of lazy inbred buddhists and wiccans and the like.

The whole filthy religious species will be aborted!

When you sin and don't ask for forgiveness, then how are you going to know His love. And if your not willing to ask Him questions how will you be able to intercide with Him. Your owen self-seeking keeps you away from Gods Love and glory. When you sin and refuse His love meaning asking forgivness and knowing He died for us then you harden your heart. You send your self their with hardening your hearts and not seeking God.

What are the Mormon views of plural marriage? What are the expectaions of my husband and I? What about our children ages 7(g), 5(b), 4(b), 2(g), and 4 month old(g). Do we have to change we live and dress? Sorry for all the questions. An overview from a Mormons perspective would be great appreciated.

Oscar flails his arms and spits and screams "God sucks! God sucks!" I have NEVER utilized such language in my home; we do not own a TV; the children do not attend a nursery; my husband is a respected priest here in our hometown, and the only person he possibly could have heard the word "sucks" from is his nasty 3 year-old cousin. I keep her and her family away from my home and I have Oscar in time-out nearly every 2 seconds, but still he will not obey. If I tell them to go to bed, Felix will run delightedly to his crib but Oscar will just stand there, screaming and bubbling and drooling, absolutely refusing to go and when I tell him Jesus wants him to be a good boy he literally gurgles in tongues. Both have a finely developed sense of speech for their ages but when Oscar is enraged he spits out foreign, twisted words.

I am deeply afraid my son is either an atheist or mentally retarded. I can handle the latter. Please help. How can we train him up correctly, like his brother?

Look this is the truth, I am not trying to convert anyone to Christianity. I am a believer in Jesus Christ , and I try with all my heart to follow the Lord, but I am not trying to get anyone to follow Christ agianst their will. I realize that Christ told us to go and make disciples of all nations.......and I do practice personal evangelism however I realize that no person will come to Christ unless Christ himself draws them to Him. I will tell people about the Lord but I will not beg and plead it is not my place, and it can turn people off to the faith. Why is there so much hostility towards believers in Christ? I believe that I know why but what is your veiw, I would like to know. Try to be nice, I am respectful of your beliefs, return the favor.
