one of the main reasons why i dont believe in God is because even if you are a good person at heart, you are very nice and respectful and giving to other people, that you will still go to hell for not believing in Jesus Christ. In that case if God is real i dont mind going to hell then, i dont believe in him but in the christian view point, im going to hell, even if you are the nicest person on earth. Thats something that im willing to go to hell for wether it exists or not, and i cant see how you can understand why God does it, i dont and its not a God that i am willing to trust and be with when i die.

i get tired of how some people let the bible think for them. I have read the bible believe me, i use to really believe in God, but until i started becoming intereted in expanding my mind and knowledge of things, i have come to my own conclusino that there are other possiblities to why we exist and what is in us for the afterlife, do research think for yourself be open minded.

You go to hell because that is what you deserve.
God is perfectly just and holy.
Do you think God let men torture Him to death on a cross for nothing?
Please read the Bible. There are a few things you are missing.

If you are a good person how do you know you are good, except by the standards that God has given through the life, death, and Resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. If you know the difference between good and evil you already know God all you have to do now is to open your mind and your heart to free gift of salvation which comes through the blood of His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. You are already more Christian than you know and you are holding back on taking the final step and making the commitment to see if something better is out there. Don't wait too long. The choices are accept Jesus, salvation and eternal life or reject God and His gift of Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. The consequences are by accepting Jesus you will never be alone, you will be adopted into the family of God, you will have the privilege of eternal life in the presence of a loving God, no more pain, no more death in His Kingdom. If your choice is to reject God the consequence is eternity in total darkness, alone, without God, without hope, no exit, no escape clause, no trial period, in eternal agony. The choice and the consequence you are yours, choose wisely this is a choice that will exist for eternity.

Exactly. Its like watching those police chase tv shows, a criminal is trying to evade the police and gets into a head on collision with a truck and the narrators say only minor injuries.
Yet, someone who is a husband father of three kids, obeys the law dies in an accident after his car skids on some ice and slams in to a telephone pole.
What gives? If god was real, it should be the other way around.

So it comes down to how you view yourself and in doing so you can safely over-ride the truth that was spoken by Christ, He said Himself that no-one is good only God, so can I call Him a liar and argue that I am good?this is the paradox with those who deny God and Christ, they somehow think they are without fault or sin and in no need of salvation and so all that Christ said, all that He stands for, is of no bearing on them at all.
This is self delusion and deep inner pride,it is ego(self) speaking and the most destructive of faults a person can have.
Now to continue throughout the whole of life in such a state is blatant denial of God and we can have no place in His Holy and blinding presence, so what else does this leave?
One humble cry from the heart can undo this pride and the journey to our rightful home begins with this.

I'm not Christain and I get told I"m going to hell all the time. My coment to these people is "I've got to believe that such a place exists." I don't believe in the place. I believe that "hell" is a state of mind brought on by extreem guilt, depression, stress ....

The requirement for going to heaven is the same for all. One must accept Jesus Christ as the son of God and ask Him to become their personal savior.

dude, i can say I don't believe in gravity - but that doesn't make it cease to exist.
The whole concept behind believing in Christ (irreguardless of if you're a good person or not) is simply because ALL of us are sinners (because we're born into sin...not because we're all axe killers, or rapists, or thieves, or gossippers, or cruel hearted, etc...)
A person can be a very moral living person, and yet still go to hell because they lack the "humility to humble" themselves before God, and say: "I'm in need of you." (Good works don't get you into heaven.)
Jesus is the only way to Salvation.
Meanwhile, it's not my place to preach...it's your hill to die on; Do it however you please. (I don't believe in trying to force religion)
God bless.

The only way to heaven is threw Jesus, If you love Jesus Then you will also like the father. Just because you are nice doesn't mean your going to go to heaven. Jesus is only the way.
