It's dangerous because it can lead people to believe that their otherwise immoral actions are justified. A lot of people do horrible things in the name of religion. It also divides people and gives them a reason to hate one another. And it opens doors for extremists who like to interpret their holy book literally.

Religion when taken to the extremes can be a dangerous thing. Look at how many wars have been and are now being fought due to religion and the differeing beliefs of others.
Don't get me wrong, religion can also be a beautiful and profound experience. It only becomes dangerous when one group insissts there way is theone and only right way, and then becomes willing to kill to force others to live their way.
Many have died who were unwilling to live under another religions rule, and dictators have used religion as a excuse to become rulers.

religion is dangerous because we are at the mercy of the teachers of the different faiths,it is the teachers of the faith that cause religion to be dangerous,religion by it self in the form that should be taught is not dangerous we need to have our faiths and we need to believe in what we think is right when it comes to our faiths,but we need to learn to question the teachers and their beliefs when it comes to teaching the religion,

Yes, religion is dangerous. I'm not a religious person...don't like the hypocracies and lies!
I love Jesus, the Bible and I have a strong relationship with my Heavenly Father. He doesn't like "false" religion either.

The problem is not the religion is dangerous...The problem is how we receive religion...If you receive religion in the same way as you receive science or culture,religion will be so helpful to humanity...But If you separate it completely from science and culture,it will be misleading...
