Can someone pray for me? Just that I find my place and do something for God. And become less selfish. And find out what I'm passionate about or that God gives me something to care about to do with my life. I'm sinking here and I don't know how to go forward. Thnx

I love my dad's humour. He's very sweet with animals (I admit that this was always hard for me, because it often seemed that he loved and cared for his 'pets' better than us, but now I understand the deep love and pride he had in his children though - even though he couldn't express it.)
I love that he's honest. He's very practical and can build anything or fix anything.
He's tenacious - he never gives up unless it's absolutely a lost cause.

what do you love about your father?

About 9 or 10 baptist friends had asked me the exactly same question along this and last year:

"If you were to die today what will you tell God so he let you enter his heaven?"

And then they tell the exactly same stories: "right key" illustration, and then the judge-thieve, the Russian General and his mom, and then all other bullsh1ts...

I'm totally bored of these and I know where their point will be.

My question is how do they ask & tell the EXACTLY SAME thing, they don't even know each other. I count the probability 9 guys asking and telling the exactly same stories is less than 0.0000000000000000001

Do the southern baptist churches now have a gospel spreading/re-christening manual book or an evangelization "standard operational procedure"?

What do you think would happen to you?

Based on your life, in the next five minutes honestly, would you be sentenced to heaven or hell?

( I believe I will go to hell for a little while because I have done bad things in my life, but according to my Islamic beliefs I soon will get Heaven afterwards).

What do you think would happen to you in 5 minutes? Thanks.

When John the Baptist was "Born Again" before he was born.

Luke: 11:15. For he shall be great before the Lord and shall drink no wine nor strong drink: and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

What was Samuel's job then? He annointed both Samuel and David, thus inviting the Holy Spirit into both men.

My question:
Friends, will you please consider taking a moment to say a prayer for my father? He is stuggling with cancer and not doing very well.
He has been very corragious for 5 years now but I fear it's getting the best of him.
My dad is 75. He raised 7 children with my mom on very limited means. He is the last of his own family here on earth. I am very proud of my father. He is a good man.

thank you all so much.

This is my question do christians hate catholics more than any other group of christianity. Because just about everything I was taught is considered wrong to most christian. On yahoo's answers I have seen answers to that were no were near close to a catholics point of view. The catholics or at least what I was taught the bible is a guide line to help us live better lives and treat one another as we would wanna be treated. But to take the bible for excact words seems a little crazy. While majority christians take bible to heart.

Matt: 1:41. And it came to pass that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.

Why is it so hard for other Christians to accept infant baptism of water when clearly, to God such things are possible before birth. When Elizabeth was "filled with the Holy Ghost" was not John, at that moment, annointed? Why, then do we hesitate or pronounce judgment on other religions who practice mere baptism of water upon infants. I personally believe that world peace can be achieved more quickly if we invite the Holy Spirit into our children before they are born. What expression of love and caring this would be not only for that child and its parents, but if everyone did this, for Peace, true Peace within our world?

I raised a question under the religion and spirituality section based on the information in the bible and Genesis , the first book of Mosses .Accoding to the report in the bible God had made the man first and directly and the womwn later from the last rib of the chest of man.My question was when did God start talking -before or after the creation of man ..Some body answered stating "why not woman . you are a sexiest pig." when god himdself has made man first and Mosses himself has referred to man first , how would the question be relating to woman..The person, being a christian , like all cristians had no idea of the bible , perhaps The person should have called Mosses or her God as the sexiest pig and not me.I reported the person for abuse. Am I right ?

A woman at my job was trying to decide whether or not to accept another job offer at a different location than where we currently work. It offered double the pay almost and was in a nicer neighborhood, but she has some friends that she was hesitant to leave behind. She said that she would pray to God and he will deliver the anwer to her.

Why couldn't she merely sit down and decide what to do for herself? Does not excercising the free will given to you by whatever power you choose to worship kinda negate the fact that you have said free will?

I feel so sad about some countries that say they are understanding of cultural differences, yet, they ban the religious/social minorities from expressing their beliefs. I have traveled to a few countries and I must say by far we (Americans) are more liberal when it comes down to letting folks express themselves. We are not quite there yet in my opinion, but we are way ahead of the rest! What do you think?

Evolution is like a bad police report. Evolution explain that we got here, but not how we got here.

Let me explain. For example, the police says "a black male and a white male came into the bank and stole 20 millions." We do not know how they got in, or if they were sent in by someone, we just know they came."

Another example: "The police report that a car appeared in the parking lot of the white house. Nobody knows who put the car in there, nor what brand the car is. There were no cameras to capture the moment, but the police say the car just appeared there from nothing."

Example #3: "A bullet was shot to the window of a New York building, we don't know who shot that bullet, but we suppose it was a white person," but later on, we found out that the bullet came by itself."

I don't say evolutionist are wrong, because to be wrong you need even to prove that you are wrong. Every process has to be explained in order to know the facts. How we got here?
