It all sounds kind of creepy to me.

I will say in my pre-teen years my best friends lived next door and they lived with thier grandparents who were Jehovah Witnesses, and on Saturdays they had to go door to door and pass-out the Watchtower and Awake before they could do anything else, so I would go with them and dump all the magazines in the gutter so we could go to the park or beach...

How about you?

People need dreams, because dreams are beautiful. Once we've achieved a dream, we need new dreams.

A guy that dreamt his whole life of owning a ferarri, finds new dreams after he's bought the silly car. Usually people find out that pursuing a dream is better than having reached the dream.

A person dies, and goes to Heaven. He's dreamt about Heaven his entire life. Now what? What possibly can top that dream? What can he dream about for the rest of eternity?

I see so many on here that are like leaves blowing in the wind- going towards every doctrine that sounds pleasing to their ears- ignoring the truth of God- exchanging the truth of God for a lie as Romans 1:25 says.
This is what God says about this: 1 Timothy 3:6-7
6For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, 7always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

Focus on verse 7.
God's grace is sufficient for me! I know there is no other road to truth, but through Jesus Christ- I have no desire to keep searching for "added" truth, when I know there is none! Do you want to keep learning and yet never able come to the knowledge of the truth?
I hope to keep learning THE TRUTH, through Jesus Christ!

Playing the organ and leading the choir at a Catholic church was only one of her jobs. Linette Servais, a very well-balanced woman if I may say so, also sold sex toys at home parties (sort of like Tupperware and Avon have.) She's in her fifties, says they helped her after cancer made it hard for her to enjoy sex, and says they help other women, too. Her priest says they're "inconsistent with Catholic teachings", and several choir members have quit in protest.

I for one think she's probably helped more women see God with these toys than with the choir, but that's just my mind sliding to the gutter. :-)

Okay, here's just some of my reasons for my beliefs, not that I am trying to convert you or anything, and yes I know that this is stupid to even offer them, but here goes anyway.

I believe I have a soul. Why? Because I can love. If I was merely a body, why would I care about other things besides my own body? Atheists believe that man is body alone, no soul. So if I use the term soul to mean the guiding, intelligent principle of my being, then if you take that away, you have a soulless body, so basically, I, as the individual that controls my thoughts and actions and the one responsible for those actions, is not there anymore. Take away my soul, you take away me, who I am. If I am 100 percent body, and nothing else, what exactly is it that is me? If my arm is cut off, do you say, part of Julian is no more? Aren't I still here? Don't I retain my thoughts, beliefs, opinions, even without a body part?

Just some thoughts to consider, hope this wasn't too preachy.

While watching a few videos on Youtube, I stumbled onto some videos from the westboro church. A very racist and unbelievably bad group of people. As I have a few family members that are also religious, they seem to share some of these viewpoints (although not as severe as these people). Am curious as to how pervasive these feelings are within the church. Any thoughts?

Just to be able to eventually play with them? or did you go home if they had to study the Bible?

Also did you have to de-frost the refrigerator before they were frost free. I know that part of the question is out of place, but I read with Global Warming we might have to resort to de-frosting refrigerators once again.

Those of you who know God is real, and have read the Bible but you don't like what you see in the Bible so you want to find something else, something that pleases you- a "feel good relegion" so to speak.
WHY?
God is ALL Good- His word is truth, and it does not matter where you turn, if you are not turning to Jesus Christ you will fall away.
This is not directed at people who do not believe in God- but to those who say they are christians but do not believe the entire word of God. Did you know that with Christ, comes the PEACE that surpasses all understanding? Comes knowledge of the word through The Holy Spirit? YES! The word of God is so alive, and transforms those who believe-- helps us understand WHO God is and why we need Him. Jesus Christ is that narrow path that leads to life-- world relegion is the broad path that leads to destruction. (Matthew 7:13-14)
So why do you keep searching? We must abide in Christ Jesus. God is the God of the Bible!

Two truths of an atheist

1. Religion won't go away just by ignoring it.
2. Religion is imaginary.

Come on guys, if these people's beliefs are imaginary, how is it affecting you? Just forget about it and let's all try and be happy.

Oh and don't tell me that at some point some nut job killed somebody, I already know that. Let's move on.

There are a number of cases in enzymatic pathways were futile cycles occur. These can be abolished through genetic manipulation. In all reported cases (that I’m aware of) abolishing these metabolic errors has no effect on the viability of the cell.

So, how do enzymatic futile cycles reflect an intelligent design?

Hell no, it is not!

There is no proof about the existence of God one way or the other. How does evolution prove there is no God? It only proves that Adam and Eve were not the first humans on this planet. That only takes common sense. Cain found a wife in Nod.
