Probably around 1969 when they were recognized as a nation at all, before which there were no Palestinians.

The Palestinians became more aggressive in the late 1960's with the raise of the Palestinian Liberation Front (PLO). The level of violence and sophistication of weapons has done nothing but increase since that time.
However, Arabs native to Palestine have been upset ever since the Jews were given their own land back to them by the UN at the end of WW2. Israel's independence and statehood came in May of 1948.

As their desperation deepened. They have always thrown rocks, guns, and rockets but as Israelis have increasingly used more brutal methods, suicide bombing has become more common.
Ask yourself this question. What is the difference if you use a tank and it shells a house that kills men, women, and children or if someone straps a bomb to himself and kills the same people?
What makes killing by the Israeli method any different then by the Palestinian method?
Since Palestinians have no army, air force, navy, are they supposed to sit still and take Israeli abuse?

Palestineans used this long ago against Syria, and King Asad the first, executed the families of terrorists and it all stopped within 6 months, because the families stopped the little buggers first....now, the families are getting paid money so they don't care.
Let the arab deal with the arab.

It couldn't have been before 1964 (ish). As there were no such people as "Palestinians" then. They were just Jordanians who fled the partitioned areas. Palestinians didn't exist until Yassar Arafat formed the PLO, coined the term, and started the terrorist movement.
