Okay I am Jewish and I was resarching my religion and I wondering..if most Jews believe Jesus was a man but he did not change the realationship between man and god then who do Jews believe started Christinaity? From my understanding Jesus thought he was the leader of the Jews but then some Jews didnt like him as the leader so a part of the Jews broke off and started their own religion which now is Jeduaism and the people that stayed and followed Jesus started Christinaity. Okay so who do the Jews believe started Christinaity, if they think Jesus had nothing to do with religion? Sorry if I misspelled something.

Ever notice how our separate Protestant brethren will say "the bible says" yet what they really mean is "my tradition of biblical interpretation says this".

All the prophets when quoted read "it is written" they never use the phrase "the bible says". as the bible does not have a mouth or vocal cords to speak with. Why is it that many Protestants fundamentalists and evangelicals use this phrase "the bible says"? Is it an arrogant belief of thinking the text supports only the one view held by them? Is it a cheap way of using the holy scripture like some stage prop the way TV evangelists do who walk back and forth in front of the congregation with hand raised holding up the book like an idol?

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

--Matthew 10:28

"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

—Revelation 20:9-15

A christian guy who spends most of his free time ministering to those less fortunate and also criminals and is completely absorbed in religion (the music he listens too, the books he reads, etc). He knows of my situation and said not to worrry he would help me. I have known his 4 months and we have been out to dinner a few times (although I know he isn't interested in dating me even though we met on a dating site, he is so absorbed with his ministry stuff that he isn't interested in any woman romantically. He has even let his work slip and lost an important account.
I am weeks away from being out on the street (i work but like alot of people I don't make enough and have a different schedule all the time) he has even offered to help me find a better job but then he seems to forget about it. He came by and gave me a card with an inspirational message on it and left. Haven't heard from him in a week. I find this very thoughtless.

In the answers to my previous question, I was told that the Bible was written my 40 men as guided my God.

But its mentioned that Jesus said - "No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18). "Ye have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His shape."

So how could God have instructed the 40 men about what to write in the Bible??

I asked in another question that did Jesus have a daughter, I was told by someone that if he had a doughter, she would have been "half God" and would have inherted healing powers "as Jesus did coz he was God", but there is no evidence of a Godly woman existing. So how can the daughter of Jesus be "half God" when Jesus himself was not God, as stated by himself???

over both minor and major issues of theology and interpretation, how can Christians trust the depiction of Jesus as presented in the Gospels.

Likely, the original Jewish followers of Jesus didn't live long enough to see their leader turned into a Greek/Roman God-Man, and they had little or no concerns beyond the reformation of their local religion.

Hundreds of false documents were produced by the early Church bearing their names, but most of them are considered fakes even by the Church.

Even the letters in the New Testament are suspect. When did Peter, a simple illiterate Galilean fisherman, learn to write in the sophisticated style of Greek found in his letters?

After reading such writings within the Bible such as that of Ephesians, Romans, 2 Timothy, Revelations, do we not see that God's plan completely rules out our "free will?"

For example, those that practise God's "good" do the specific good that God predestined them to do, whilst all others are supposedly ruled by Satan because of "deceptions" and the like sent to them. If you're anything like me, you'll simultaneously feel for the "hellbound" individuals born into other faiths and such, with equally bombastic beliefs.

The Bible often states that God created our future and decides our fates, no matter what our own will is. This completely denies over supposed free will.
