Death is better then dishonor. But all-in-all try to avoid the situation in questioned.

It depends on the culture. To the WWII Japanese, death was better to dishonor. To the pragmatic survivor, dishonor is better than death.

Dishonor is a high class word for pride,Its better to die by helping someone with no recognition and give all of the glory to Jesus .Now that is what you call a real hero.
