I was raped and lived through it. I have had trouble ever since. I have been angry forever. What name should I give myself ?

It wasn't your fault that you were raped, First of all , you have to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are a good girl and God loves you! you cannot go through life being angry all the time, God will punish the rapist.Why should you suffer everyday for someone elses sin. You are willing yourself to continue to be angry into the future. It wont do you any good to be angry forever. Didn't your rapist take enough from you? Are you willing to let him continue to take your future by remaining angry?

Ive been through some extremely difficult & painful experiences in this life. I was, like you, angry for a long time. But by remaining angry you are keeping alive what happened to you & allowing your abuser to continue to abuse you.

Go for counselling & talk it all through, get angry, do all the kicking & screaming you can... but aim for the light at the end of the tunnel. A future where you are at peace with what happened, no longer angry & able to put it behind you & move on. What name should you give yourself? You are a survivor, but dont be a victim.

I was raped many times by my father as a child. I was angry when the memories started coming back. I still harbor resentments towards the acts themselves, but I have forgiven him. I am trying to be an overcomer by trying to bring into legislations a bill that prevents any time restrictions on this particular type of crime, as he was never convicted because of the statute of limitations on sex crimes.

I say to you that you are brave, beautiful, innocent, and you are an overcomer. You have chosen to become a fighter, use your power for doing good rather than using it for harboring resentment...As then the perpetrator wins, you lost, he conquered you. You understand this concept I know, and it is difficult, but you are never alone. I am here beside you my sister fighting for you. The only way to rid the resentment, that film that blocks your heart to breath, is seek help and seek Jesus, open yourself to him, and pray that he enter your heart, and he would protect and comfort you as well..... I am so sorry you had to go through that.
I'll pray for you, that you be able to release the pressure that controls your anger.
