Approximately forty different individuals inspired by God's Holy Spirit.
Many of these lived so far apart in time that they had no contact with each other. Despite this the theme of the seed, Christ, and the Kingdom of God -- starts in Genesis and ends in Revelation.
The whole being harmoniously connected as a book with one author should be.

But it was written by about 40 followers of Jesus.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
This can be proven via prophecy. Man cannot prophesy, it is impossible since they are bound by physical restraints of space-time.
