Majority of the Christians world wide do not perform the genital mutilation surgery known as circumcision to their infant males but, why is it common among America Christians to think that circumcision is a Christian ritual. Circumcision never became popular with the Christians in Europe as they were staunchly opposed to it. Over a hundred years ago, the Christians in America did not perform this surgery. All the American founding fathers were all intact.

I suspect that during the American moral revolution during the early 1900s that religious leaders decided to integrate circumcision into their teachings in their quest to end masturbation.

O man of Shuruppak, son of Ubartutu:
Tear down the house and build a boat!
Abandon wealth and seek living beings!
Spurn possessions and keep alive living beings!
Make all living beings go up into the boat.
The boat which you are to build,
its dimensions must measure equal to each other:
its length must correspond to its width.
Roof it over like the Apsu.
I understood and spoke to my lord, Ea:
'My lord, thus is the command which you have uttered
I will heed and will do it.
But what shall I answer the city, the populace, and the elders

I am pro-spanking, but never liked the idea of using belts etc or just lashing out at kids. I saw this quote from Lenora Hammond, a Christian missionary, which seemed to make a lot of sense: 'If physical punishment is due, it should occur in the privacy of a room. Wildly whacking out at a child walking past is never a good strategy. Take the child to a calm place, explain what the offense was and ask if they understand their guilt. Ask your child to willingly submit by bending over onto the bed and use a slipper with a rubber sole. This has enough flex in it to not bruise the child, but has enough of a sting to be felt. After the spanking, spend time hugging your child and remind him of your love for him.' The whole controlled spanking with a slipper thing seems to make a lot of sense. Anyone use this approach? What do people think?

I have yet to see a female mormon spreading the word, and I've seen the males doing it on each coast.
Are female mormons not allowed to ride bikes? Or are they not allowed to proselytize?

How is she/he going to defend him/her self?

What if that Mormon had been a Mormon for only one year and hadn't done all person could do yet to attain salvation?

(As a Christian I have already asked myself what I would do.)

Look, We Did Nothing as a islamic community.. then you see it everywhere, "Bash Islam" "Kill the Muslims"

its not right... The Society is judging us by 14 terrorist's actions...

that can be easily countered, Ok 4 Catholic men rape a women does that make all the Catholics Rapist? Of course not. But its diffrent with the muslims why? Why are we being singled out and trying to be brought down and made fun of... We dont make fun of Jesus BECAUSE WE BELIVE IN HIM TO. Learn to Respect our religion like we respect yours, We don't throw the bible in the toliet why throw the Quran in there?

I think each and every one of us is important in this life
I believe in a God energy
and I believe that we are all very important in the bigger picture
I believe that each of us where given a little truth and that all our little truths put together will reveal bigger truths ( if we just started to listen to each other )
I believe that even the atheist is important in this bigger picture
without someone who opposes a God , we would have no discussion , no motivation to move on in scienctific field
we need people who question and doubt
I believe that we all live on after death , this life is only a short detour on our journey
So we have to treat each other with respect and respect their choices and beliefs ( or lack of )
put down your stones
because we cannot progress spiritually if we don't see the importance of every single person

I live in Denmark. Here, only 2% of people go to church on a regular basis. Which means if you take 1000 danes at random, you can expect that the 980 of them never go to church (expect, possibly, at Christmas for traditional reasons). There is absolutely no evolution/creation "controversy" here. All schools, teachers, parents etc. agree that the only way to go is to teach evolution. The few "intelligent design" proponents are regarded as non-scientific and dogmatic by almost everyone, including the press.
There is absolutely no pressure to be religious, and nothing stigmatizing or wrong about publicly being an atheist.

What kind of nation is Denmark? According to http://www.infoplease.com/spot/corruption1.htmlit is the least corrupt nation in the WORLD.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/5224306.stm tells us that Denmark is the happiest nation on Earth.

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1100.htmlinforms us that Denmark has a very low violent crime rate.

What's your opinion about all this?

Godless atheist claims that 'Scientists have proved that the earth is billions of years old'. But we as christians know that it is just atheist propaganda. They want us to belive them so they can keep on conducting all manner of unethical, immoral, and evil research to 'prove' there is no god.

The Holy Bible proved that the Earth can only be 6000 years old. Now, who should we believe? The design of the universe: Almight god or atheist scientists that don't even believe in god?

Scientists have never developed a technique to test whether anything is billions of years old! In fact, the oldest fossils are only about 6000 years old!

The Holy Bible is and always will be 100% true. When what science shows is againts the Bible that means science is wrong, no the Bible.

I think the Holy Bible should be use in science class in schools to be teach as facts and books about atheism and Darwinism should be ban because they are all just godless lies.

God bless you.

I really wish that you believers were "faking it" and didn't believe what you say you do. I can't understand how anyone could be satisfied with the intellectually bankrupt state of "believer". Aren't you even interested in thinking for yourself? Why are you content with letting people dictate to you what to think? (parents, clergy, the bible, etc)
