It is evident that you are not a student of the Bible ! I believe you have taken this verse out of context , just as the muslims have ? Seems the muslims are the only ones` following through with using a sword ? You need to go to a website that will show you Americans having their heads cut off with a dull sword ( knife ), then come back on here and redefine what you "think" a "terrorist" is !!

I'm not overly religious, but I know that particular quote is one that most people take out of context like crazy. If you read the surrounding text of that quote, you'd know that what Jesus was saying here was that he knew his teachings were going to be taken out of context, twisted, and used for agendas (eg: war). You have to remember that people didn't speak very literally back then. Jesus was making an analogy here, and was being borderline sarcastic in doing so.
He was basically describing the modern "buffet" Christian religion that exists today. People take what they want from the Bible and ignore the rest in order to facilitate their prejudices, ect. Fundies are especially bad at this.

Of course not. You have taken that verse out of context (and, no , I'm not spinning it like a celeb's PR person). Re-read it and the verses around it - you'll get a different impression then. It's good that you are reading some of the New Testament - we should all read it more than we do. May God bless you!

Jesus meant that His teachings would be hard for some to accept and might pit people against each other.
He was alluding to a spiritual battle more than anything.

First of all he didn't kill everything because he didn't kill Noah and the animals so read it again!!! the reason for him killing them is because the sinned they didn't believe in his word so therefore they didn't do as he said and the wages of sin is DEATH...and stop trying to confuse people with those one and two scriptures...and I am going to let you figure that one out on your own...SMILE

These messengers have We exalted some of them above others; among them there are those to whom Allah spoke; and some of them He exalted in degrees of rank. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs and strengthened him with the spirit of holiness. And if God had so willed, those that came after them would not have fought with one another after clear Signs had come to them; but they did disagree. Of them were some who believed, and of them were some who disbelieved. And if God had so willed, they would not have fought with one another; but God does what He desires.

You seem to be missing the whole point of just about everything. You base this upon one verse from the bible. Read the whole chapter, not just one verse.
