If they get through security, they might listen. One actually does and I listen to her and she listens to me. Funny thing, she even comes around at Halloween.

If an atheist knocked on someone's door and offered to tell them about reality and science and evolution as well as all sorts of reasons why god doesn't exist, the home owner would probably call the police. Funny how so many religious people get away with preaching about their beliefs on people's doorsteps.

If you hang an upside down cross over your front door with I sign saying all who knock upon this door accept satin as their lord and savior, they usually don't even bother you. The problem is it tends to keep the postman away too.

When they come to my door, I agressively try to convince them of my beliefs. They usually leave quickly.

Perhaps you should do it anyway, Rev Trask. If they get spooked by you, they may repent of their sins fast!

Hello. Perhaps this may be a new thought to you:
It is well-established in scripture that Jesus, his apostles and disciples all went door to door, village to village and city to city sharing the good news of God's kingdom. Indeed, Jesus personally gave them hands-on training on the doing of it.
Now when they got to where they were going, it was not an exchange of beliefs, as it were. They did not go seeking good news - they went to share the good news of God's kingdom.
I assure you, if you are referring to Christian Witnesses of Jehovah, and you come knocking on their door, they will be delighted to talk with you and listen to what you have to share. They thoroughly enjoy talking about the Bible and it will be no less so if you come visit them.
Going out in the city to talk to strangers about the Bible is no small achievement, believe me. If you yourself have done so on a regular basis, you likely already know this. They go to considerable lengths to get up out of their beds, get dressed in nice clothing, gather their materials, concentrate on what they wish to speak about, get to the territory (in the summer it is stifling heat and in winter it is teeth-chattering cold), and gather up the courage to knock on a door to talk to a person who no doubt will have less than no appreciation for their calling. And still they do it in obedience to the commission Jesus Christ gave.
They can only do it in the Holy Spirit of Jehovah God; and in this they imitate the example of the disciples who, as we read at Acts 4:29 and 31, prayed to God to grant them the courage and Holy Spirit to continue in their assigned ministry. The account reports that God did just that. Indeed, at Acts 5:42, we read that they continued without letup in the door to door ministry.
So, although it is probably annoying to you when Witnesses call, if you go out in the door to door ministry to talk about the Bible and you call upon a Jehovah's Witness, they will be happy to talk to you. I promise you, I would be delighted if you called at my home.
The next time they call at your home, I sincerely hope you try to keep this in mind and I hope the foregoing explanation helps you - if only just a little.
Very sincerely yours,
Hannah J Paul
