Absolutely yes. You know why? Because most people are trading their life for nothing without that. Most people push themselves to the limit by working two jobs, they die early, who knows how many years they lose? Only 5 years that's a pretty good deal for $1 million and of course I'd want to know how many years I had left. If I knew that I'm only left 7-10 years to live I wouldn't accept the offer.

Here's the catch. No one knows when you will die, and you could die in 5 years. People can get sick and not know it until shortly before it happens. People get into accidents or are killed tragically before their time.
So, the price is too much just for the million dollars. Besides, by the time I paid the fees associated with the prize and paid taxes, I'm sure I'd have a much smaller amount.
A million sounds like a lot, but it probably would not last most people more than 5 years. You think you won't spend it, but then you'd see a house you'd llike and pay off the debts, and then think "I'll just spend a little on this item" then the money ends up being gone before you realize what happens to it. $1 Million is only (before taxes) $200,000 a year for 5 years. Personally, I'd rather find a way to earn that money.

No way! I could do so many things in those 5 years, and I rather have more time to spend with the ones I love, than a million dollars that the government will take a big chunk out of and will be gone in no time :-p

Hellls yeah...the life expectancy in my family is long. I would rather die 5 years earlier and get the million than to live out those last 5 years sickly and in a nursing home.

no, I would give five years back for a million if I could choose the years! I would choose each year I was pregnant. I would keep the part where I get to keep the kids< I would simply give back the part of being pregnant, which was the worst time of my life, I was sick each and every time and the agony and pain I went thru is worth more than a million!

At one time I would have said that I would pass up the money but circumstances change. I have 3 kids whom this money would benefit greatly. I'd give up more than 5 years of my life in order to help them. I'd take the money.

Its just money. No. Besides $1 million is chump change in the modern day world. Now, a trillion, I'd consider it.

Depends on when I was supposed to die. If I live to 120, sure I'd take the million. If I only live to 60, I'd rather not have it.

I was going to say a definite NO. Having though about it, if I knew I was going to live to say 110 then yes I probably would - depending on my quality of life. Also if I knew I was going to be terminally ill or suffering then I would also because who wants to suffer!
