So bible says two people ate apple/fruit and all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good god cursed "whole mankind" for that such act of disobedience?

Yes. And I was told last night that the actions of Adam and Eve explain (1) why I was born handicapped, and (2) why God couldn't possibly take my pain away when I begged him to.

Seems fair, no?

It wasn't just the disobedience. It was the desire to "be like God, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 2:5)

It is the desire to be like God that is the most offensive to Him. And yet people today, especially, think that they know better than Him.

I constantly hear how so much better and differently they think they can do things than God does (or did).

This is the original sin, and is what got Satan kicked out of his place there. "You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you." (Ezekiel 28:14-15)

Kind of.

Here is one way to describe Original sin.

The paradise in which God created the human race was a place where all people lived in complete holiness. They loved God with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind. They loved their neighbors as much as they loved themselves.

Then the first human beings disobeyed the commandment of God, choosing to follow their own will rather than God's will. This was the Original Sin.

As a consequence the first human beings lost the grace of original holiness, and became subject to the law of death; sin became universally present in the world.

Besides the personal sin of the first human beings, original sin describes the fallen state of human nature which affects every person born into the world. Therefore we are not responsible for Original sin but we are affected by it.

It was this fallen state from which Christ, the "new Adam," came to redeem us. Jesus makes paradise available to us again and teaches us how to live there, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

With love in Christ.

You need to read Genesis (the book not rock band). Eating an apple wasn't the prob. God gave them everything they wanted or needed. But God told them not to eat the fruit of a certain tree. (the fruit contained the knowledge of good and evil). But because He gave them free will they disobeyed God's one rule. They broke the law. Crime and punishment, get it?

Apparently...And it also said that a bush, also on fire, talked to Moses and told him to remove his sandals!!! HA HA HA...And as for the 10 commandments..1 through 4 are just godly but 5 through 10 - I mean come on, it's common sense!! If bible believers actually read the bible, they might have a different look on things. I think most believers only believe because it gives them a sense of direction and a belief in faith...it makes them feel good...To me, it's like a mother goose tale. Whoever wrote it did a pretty good job..but I don't believe anything that's written in it. And yes, I actually read the bible...that's what started making me a non believer in the first place.

you have I suppose, a better explaination for the current state of the world?
Let us in on your insight please, I really want to know what you think as to why things are the way they are.
You seem to like half truths, God blessed all mankind because in the very instant that Adam and Eve rebelled, God made the plan to accomodate their challenge, so that all mankind could regain what Adam and Eve threw away.

they are all symbols for higher forces in life...there is a universal energy that is split in too male and female or positive and negitive the eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge is a symbol of those two forces combining together....

sin is like genes. It's a part of us. When adam and eve then had kids, the sin was passed on to their kids.

The bible is a work of fiction to explain things to gullible, ignorant people. It shouldn't be taken literally.
