Yes. It's a sign that last fall a female praying mantis filled an egg case with eggs and left it in your house somewhere. Don't worry. The baby praying mantises are cannibals. They'll feed off each other until they get large enough to hunt bigger bugs. Only a few will make it to adulthood. So they are taking care of your problem for you!

eeeeeew!!! those things STINK!!! i had to get the kids at the nursury to draw them when i was doing work experience... bleughhhhhhhh.... never, NEVER going near the bloody things again!
