I'm confused, there should be a page where atheist's can talk about the truth with each other and not have to listen to all the christians trying to slander us.

Wasn't it a hoot?
I'm sure a lot of us laughed at the poor bushmen thinking that a bottle of Coca-cola was thrown by God but is it that different from how we believe in a whole of "unexplainable" things within our religions?

Can you help me please? I have been struggling with some doubt about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. By you answering this question would help immensely. This is apparently not an example of Pauline characteristics:

"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received:

. . . that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
and that he was buried,
and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve."
1 Corinthians 15: 3-5.

I hope that helps alittle bit. And Christians, if you wouldn't mind, please pray for me to ask God to help me confess Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God rose Jesus from the dead with faith and not doubt.

For Love is Passing By!
Do you know the love of God? (Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.)
Do you know His mercy and grace? (Micah 7:18
Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.)
Are you burdened with sin and longing to be cleansed? (For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3;23)
He will deliver you from your transgressions and grant you eternal life.
Through Jesus Christ- Our Savior! Love is passing by, please do not miss it! For there is only one chance to accept the love of Christ- it is now.
Thank you Jesus for saving me from sin and hell, and forgiving me, for giving me a clean heart, and a desire to follow you. Thank you for your joy and peace you continually give-- your Holy Spirit who teaches us who seek you. Thank you Lord! I know there is NONE like you!

"If anyone secretly entices you--even if it is your brother, your father's son or your mother's son, or your own son or daughter, or the wife you embrace, or your most intimate friend-- saying, "Let us go worship other gods" you must not yield to or heed any such persons. Show them no pity or compassion and do not shield them. But you shall surely KILL them; your own hand shall be first against them to execute them, and then the hand of all the people. Stone them to death for trying to turn you away from the Lord your God." (Deut 13:6-10)

Hello, all:

My mother has lung cancer with metastases in the liver and spine, and although her prognosis still gives her a few months to live, she ended up in hospital on Monday with severely increased pain, intermittant nausea, and sharply reduced appetite.

They've been trying to get a handle on her pain, but so far the narcotics aren't completely covering it, which is very worrisome. All they've really done is completely space her out. She hasn't eaten anything but a little bit of Ensure in the last three days. And just today she's come down with some kind of infection, which has given her a fever; we're still waiting for blood culture results to find out exactly what's going on.

If anyone can spare a prayer for Barbara of Winnipeg, mother of Prairie Crow, currently in Grace General Hospital, I'd very much appreciate it. Right now she needs all the help she can get.

Come to Jesus....He says: Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

And He does!
John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Do you know what Jesus did for you? Do you know what He continues to do for those who love Him?

technically, all you need to believe in is Jesus Christ himself to be classified as a 'Christian' (follower of Christ)

so why is it that some self-righteous clowns claim that they aren't christian at all?

what is it about religion that seems to shun away people?

2007-05-25 15:33:06 · 22 answers · asked by rzarectah 2

I think there is. I mean, I, myself, grew up in a very traditional culture, in which everything had to be done according to the culture of my parents and certain foods had to be eaten at certain holidays, etc., but I was never told that I could never marry or date a man of a different race. Why? As my mom said it, "Culture has nothing to do with race. Race is the color orientation of a person, not the views and the actions of a person." So, does anyone else agree that racism is different from culture?

Hows about all those people get off theyre high horse and realise a question is just a question, thats why this site is here. To get peoples opinions. So RELAX people and stop being so sensitive.

Its really differnent from christian worship. True some christians stand their, but most christians raise their hands and sing along and are happily clapping their hands. Mormons sit quielty and read/sing from a hymnal book. Its suppose to be reverent, but the differance between christian worship and mormon worship, I found was the connection I got from God and the joy, and some times God even talked to me during christianworship, I even saw a vision or two, but this never happen to me during Mormon worship.
