I can't believe people think this song is good. It talks about getting rid of religion. How could that possibly be a good thing? You need religion as a moral compass. Think about all the good that has come from religion.

John Lennon was nothing but an overdrugged self-righteous moron.

Agree?

Jerusalem and the greater Jerusalem area is international land. Israel claimed the land in 1967 and it is now under Israeli control. Did the UN ever give a statement or even say anything about this?

Christian funerals are almost always held at church, but I have never once been to a funeral held in a temple. Is it something that the Jewish religion prohibits? I'm just curious

Pascal's wager states that one should believe in God because if you believe and are right, you win everything (heaven)... but if you don't believe and are wrong, you lose everything(hell). Meanwhile if you believe and are wrong, you still lose nothing.

I've read this argument several times on these forums and my question is: Is that really 'belief'? Wouldn't God have a problem if your 'faith' was really just a way to 'hedge your bets'?

Could it be that because many responses from Christians
just are not logical or even reasonable, that people (many of whom may be very sincere with thier questions) are drifting more and more toward Atheism?

Should Christians try to be more educated and thus give more astute answers to them that inquire as to a certain belief?

As an example, the answers Jesus gave to his detractors by citing scripture, using stunning logic, and speaking with the autority of totally educated man.

In other words, Does Christianity share the blame for the rise of Atheism?

heres what i understand:

The moment we die our "SPIRIT" is judged and sent to heaven or hell. Our physical bodies are awaiting ressurection on earth. When the saved are ressurected and raptured they go to the new heaven and new earth (said in revelation)

Ok.....heres what i don't get. Is the hell the spirit sent to directly after death the same hell the physical body is sent to for the unsaved at the white throne judgement?

please help.

Most Christians think that just because you dont believe in God, you do not have any morals, you are cruel and inconsiderate.. why? Atheists aren't like that, why do you judge when it is against your religion?

When the trumpet of the LORD shall sound
And time shall be no more
When the morning breaks eternal bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder I'll be there.
