Am i the only one that believes that "religions" were created by the devil in order to further divide Christian people? I mean when you really look into it there are: Catholics, Lutherans, Methodists, Scientologists, Presbyterians, i mean all of these "religions" have different teachings, when in reality all of us should focus on filling our spirits with life... Which is God, what do you guys think?

are you so hateful toward Christians, I can understand that you are passionate about your beliefs, however the worst way to try to get someone to understand them is to lash out and be hateful, Christians are just trying to do what Christ taught them to do in the Bible, and that is to go and preach the gospel to every living creature, but they do not lash out in hate. I have learned that patience and tolerance are two of the most important characteristics people can have when trying to debate their beliefs.

The Duck & the devil

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods. He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner. As he was walking

back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved! In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing. After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes" But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes. Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally just smiled and said, "Well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help" She whispered again , "Remember
the duck?" So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help. After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer.
He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."

Thought for the day and every day thereafter?

Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... and the devil keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil
make a slave of you. The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are
saved.

I'm trying to say that there was no theology like being saved by faith alone until Martin Luther came in the 16th cent. So, u can't say that the people in the Orthodox and Catholic Churches weren't saved before then because God wouldn't allow that. It wouldn't be Just and God is Just.

First of All--- I don't want to hear the bullcrap of any nonbelievers what-so-ever, for God is real and I know it.
And additionally, since I know Hell is real, if you don't believe in it your answer is not desired as well.

Now please anwer with complete seriousness,
If you have a sinful habbit, that you REALLY want to fix! And I mean its a habbit breaking a commandment that you have the intention of heart to fix with all your might- BUT you haven't quite fixed it as of yet, will that send you to Hell??
The scriptures clearly say that a single sin will send you to Hell and especially without Jesus. And if you accept Christ, does that mean future sins you try to fix are forgiven or no? I have (and technically still) commit adultery with my girlfriend which I sorely regret, let me tell you. I'm ashamed of it, really. I tell Jesus I REALLY want to stop and fix it, AND I am trying to. But since its not fixed yet, if I died... Would I go to Hell??

There is a difference between the animal kingdom and mankind. Animals live on their instincts - hunting instincts etc and there is no law for them. Man is different to animals as they live by the law and some live as well with religious scripts - Torah, Bible and Quran. By having principles and ethics makes us different to animals. So why do certain people of a certain sect (atheists) which is not a religion say that why confine yourself to rules....... shall we live like animals and have no morals, no belief, no control, no discipline etc?

That is, as the scripture says, Pr 16:33 "The lot (dice) is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.", the Bible seems to portray God as in control of the outcome of that which otherwise may appear as natural phenomena.

Do you view God as interacting with nature on this level, or that God isn't in control of the outcome of stochastic events?

Just replace the name Santa with God or Jesus and suddenly eureka!

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out
Who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town

Alot of Catholic's pick and choose things they agree with the church about and most just don't care about the church anymore because of such outdated rules. If you had a chance to tell them what you would change to make a better church, what would it be?

An Atheist recently started writing e-mail rants to me making all kinds of crazy statements about Atheists being peace loving, all while calling me more names and communicating more anger than I can possibly communicate here.

This caused me to refresh my memory on Atheists in Prison, where this guy obviously belongs.

We know from Department of Justice records that 80 percent of first time offenders have no religion prior to being incarcerated. They do not engage in any religious activities, prayer, church, etc and have no set form of belief system.

Once in prison these numbers reverse so that 80% become affiliated with a religion and 20% stay irreligious, not believing in any deities.

This change is obviously because of the prison ministries and services that religious organizations engage in.

Half the guys who keep getting tossed back in prison are those with no religious beliefs.

The data is on the DOJ website.

So, more atheists or religious people in prison?

when people say, you has a soul does that mean something extra besides me? when people say, your soul goes to heaven or whatever. So if my soul goes to heaven where do I go? It is like there is some other entity about me can I be aware of me. So is this something that just hangs around me and is waiting to go somewhere, if I'm aware of me and not aware of the soul then where is the soul is it something I consult with, or what or is this a matter of semantics and it means absolutely nothing.

If so, pray this prayer and mean it from the heart.

'Lord, I am really sorry that I have sinned against You.
I know I am guilty and deserve your punishment for my sins.
But thank You that Jesus died on the cross in my place and took my punishment there.
Thank You that He rose again and lives today.
Please help me now to turn from my sins, and please forgive me, cleanse me from my sins, and come and save me and take control of my life as my Lord.'

If god knows the future, the future must be already deterimined. If the future is already determined, we have no control over our future actions.
If we have no control over our future actions, we can't be judged based on them. So either there is no hell, or god is a jerk.
