when people say, you has a soul does that mean something extra besides me? when people say, your soul goes to heaven or whatever. So if my soul goes to heaven where do I go? It is like there is some other entity about me can I be aware of me. So is this something that just hangs around me and is waiting to go somewhere, if I'm aware of me and not aware of the soul then where is the soul is it something I consult with, or what or is this a matter of semantics and it means absolutely nothing.

It's like the difference between a house and a home. what makes a home is the people in it. What makes you, you are your thoughts, your feelings, your beliefs. some believe these things make up your soul. Your body is just a place for your soul to hang out.

Your soul is the energy that runs the body. Once the body dies the soul moves on. Energy is never exhausted it moves on in some other form. Law of physics.

No one knows the answer to that question. No one knows if souls really exist. I would guess that , if the soul does exist, that the body is something you touch and the soul is something you feel.

The body is the body, easy to understand.
The soul is the eternal part of you where your emotions, thoughts, "you" is
The spirit is the part of you that relates to God.
You are a trichotomus being, three parts but they are all you and you feel as one.
When "you" die, that is your body, your awareness does not cease, your soul continues
When God created man in His own image, He made man a trichotomus being, just as God is One God composed of three distinct persons.
No one understands everything about the Trinity, three yet one and no one completely understands the divisions in our being either.

Your soul doesn't go to Heaven, your spirit does.
We are made of flesh (=body) , soul (= feelings, memories, experiences, reasoning etc.) and spirit (=the part of you that may connect to God ,if you are willing to)
Until you accept Jesus as your Savior, your spirit is dead. When you accept Him as your Lord, your spirit connects with Him and He communicates with you through His Word, the bible.
When you die ,your body (=flesh) it dies .
When you die ,your soul dies also , because all of your emotions and memories and feelings do no longer exist.
When you die , your spirit lives forever, either in Heaven or in hell, it all depends on who you lived your life for on this earth, was it Jesus or satan ???
Only you and God will know the answer to that !!!

the body is how you physically are seen. the body allows you to be bad, or good. the soul is what drives you to do those things. for example, your mind and soul are linked. your mind, which is your soul, tells you to sleep with someone, it is temptation. your body does it and that leads to your soul and body being filthy because physically, you have defiled yourself.
and, when you die, your spirit lives and goes to either heaven, or hell. your body just goes into the ground and rots.

Your soul does not go to heaven your spirit does... Your soul is your "conscience" it basically dictates to your mind what your actions will be... be them right or wrong... Your soul and body die when your physical body die, it is your spirit which enters either heaven or hell...

Body = The flesh that we inhabit
Spirit (or Breath) of Life = our conciousness, who and what we are, the 'thing' that God gives that makes us alive and allows us to think and reason.
Soul = Body + Spirit
