Jerusalem and the greater Jerusalem area is international land. Israel claimed the land in 1967 and it is now under Israeli control. Did the UN ever give a statement or even say anything about this?

No, people didn't forget.

Resolution 127: "...'recommends' Israel suspend its 'no-man's zone' in Jerusalem"

Resolution 162: "...'urges' Israel to comply with UN decisions"

Resolution 250: "... 'calls' on Israel to refrain from holding military parade in Jerusalem"

Resolution 251: "... 'deeply deplores' Israeli military parade in Jerusalem in defiance of Resolution 250"

Resolution 252: "...'declares invalid' Israel's acts to unify Jerusalem as Jewish capital"

Resolution 267: "...'censures' Israel for administrative acts to change the status of Jerusalem"

Resolution 271: "...'condemns' Israel's failure to obey UN resolutions on Jerusalem"

Resolution 298: "...'deplores' Israel's changing of the status of Jerusalem"

Resolution 476: "... 'reiterates' that Israel's claims to Jerusalem are 'null and void'"

Resolution 478: "...'censures (Israel) in the strongest terms' for its claim to Jerusalem in its 'Basic Law'"

Those are just the UN resolutions about Jerusalem. Israel is in violation of more UN resolutions than any other country in the world -- by far.

The following resolution was vetoed by the US:

"deplored Israel's altering of the status of Jerusalem, which is recognized as an international city by most world nations and the United Nations..."

The US has vetoed many other resolutions directed at Israel, but this is the only one I could find specifically related to Jerusalem.

That is not true.

It was part of the original plans for the partition of the territory of what was then called Palestine into two states, one for Jews, one for Arabs, that Jerusalem would be international. However, the partition plan, as everyone knows, was never implemented and thus Jerusalem was never, officially or unofficially, and international city.
If what you say were true, one wonders why they also didn't protest Jordan's control over the East part of the city until 1967, a move that barred Jews from even entering it for 19 years.

Consequences will be the same. The Palestinians hate the Jews with a purple passion, and will hate them right up to the end. Trying to trade land for peace will not change that.

I thought that the only land on the face of this earth that was given to a human was when God gave that area to Abraham and for his descendants. Do we know who his descendants are? Isn't Isaac and Ishmeal his children? Isn't that who lives there? Being brothers I guess God just didn't know they would all hate each other. And fight like they do.
