It means that not one thing on this earth happens that our Father does not know about. You know a sparrow could fall on the ground and no one know or care but God cares. Hence the versus thereafter says that "the very hairs on our head is numbered" meaning again that God knows Everything about us and every creature he made. The versus after that says that if he cares this much for a sparrow then we can conclude how much more in value we humans are to him. :)

In many other translations it says a sparrow shall not fall to the ground apart from the father's will. Jesus was trying to tell his disciples how valuable they were to the father. We are worth more to God than the animals. And he loves the animals. Hope that helps.

A farthing is a very worthless coin. The sparrows have virtually no value, yet God is aware of everything they do. Likewise he knows the number of hairs on our head, and cares for us intimately. Our value is great in His eyes.

Nothing happens to a mere sparrow that God does not know about or control. If He is in that, He is far more into the lives of His special children. He loves us far more than creatures like sparrows and such.

That the Lord even looks after the birds. Not one of their lives is lost without His knowledge. If He cares so much about a bird, just think how much more He cares about men with souls. Praise the Lord!

God even cares when a sparrow drops dead, how much more does God care for us? A farthing is very, very little money.

it explains how much God loves and cares for us and shows that He knows us better than we know ourselves,it tells us that we are not to be afraid of anything He made both us and the sparrows but He made us in His likeness and image God knows and is with even the sparrows

the way i understand this passage is that god sees and knows everything. It isn't written exactly the same way I remember, but it's the same thing. Every hair on your head is numbered as are the days of your life. I hope this helps and I haven't confused you more.

It means that if a sparrow falls, God knows it. So if he knows when a bird falls, we know he watches them. Since we are more valuable to him, how much more must he watch his children?
