If you are really depressed you probably wont feel like doing much. Often things you used to enjoy are now without any joy or interest.
Do not discount the help that a season of medication and counseling can provide.
if your depression is not so profound, every day get out of the house and experience nature, see children playing, take a long walk in a beautiful place. Force yourself to do some physical activity and drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Avoid drugs and alcohol. Don't watch the miserable news; it'll bring you down.
Be aware you are dearly loved by a mighty God.

Go for a walk, or step it up to a jog or run if you are more physically fit. The release of endorphins in the brain is good elevating the mood.
Do something for someone else. Get your mind off yourself.
If the depression way worse than any simple solution, then go to the doctor and get meds.
I like the eatting pie solution---it was silly, but it was funny---and laughter helps to release the brain chemicals you need to be happy. Good luck.

you're depressed. My suggestion is to draw close on, this is complicated yet you receives by this. do basically not commence astounding out with the incorrect crowd via the undeniable fact which will make concerns worse. issues ensue and also you'll advance and develop right into a good looking good individual from those reports. commence making new friends it is going to fairly help and in the adventure that your previous friends have replaced and moved on this is nice via the undeniable fact that's all element of life and as you advance you'll commence to understand.

Accept that you are depressed and don't let yourself make any major decisions until you are on a more even keel.
List 10 things that are right with life and let your mind dwell on those things.
Do something fun and maybe a little far-fetched. Indulge yourself in some ice cream, a good book, and maybe a midnight movie (comedy).
Sleep.
Get counseling.
These things have worked for me in the past...

Go for a walk listening to your favorite music...non-depressing :-) Pray if you feel called to pray asking God to lift the burden. Sometimes that helps, praying I mean, sometimes it makes you dwell on what is depressing you. Get moving, doing something that will get your mind off of what is bothering you will help lift your mood.

Oh I have several things that help me.
1. dancing around in the rain or jumping in water puddles.
2. walking through the grass barefooted and digging my toes into the grass.
3. watch kittens or puppies play.
4. pet a cat and listen to it's purr.
5. watch squirrels play.
6. lay in the grass and watch the clouds go by.
7. watch children play

Abdul, sometimes Satan assails us so badly that our human nature suffers.
There are Christian councellors because Christians suffer depression, too.
For example, maybe your spouse has rejected you and plays-out while you stay home and care for the children.
God will help you through if you are complying with His Word. You cannot expect God to help you when disobey Him. Your problems could be a tool He is using to wake up up and lead you to compliance.
Not knowing your circumstances, I can't say, but when I read the story of Jesus healing those demoniacs that roamed in the graveyard with chains hanging from their wrists, then I know there is hope for you and me. And if you see blemishes in your religious organization, then maybe God is calling you to something better.

Seek God.
I do believe there are chemical inbalances of the brain- but not as popular as everyone else thinks- I believe a lot of it is spiritual too.
Keep your eyes fixed on Christ. Seek Him, and know that He can fill you with His wonderful peace and Joy. Believe that.
