isn't it strange that the only sin that is considered "unforgivable" in the bible is blasphemy? so pretty much any sin is free range, so long as you ultimately come to your senses and repent and accept jesus as your savior. however, someone who questions the existence of god and comes to the conclusion that one such being does not exist is forever damned to hell. why do you suppose god has such a problem with people questioning his existence. if he is indeed omnipresent, he should have nothing to worry about, right?

And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight (Ezekiel 4:12)

Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith (Ezekiel 4:15)

The bible lovers called him a visionary or prophet. Today he would've been considered nuts. It seemed he saw these UFO or multicolored burning wheels in the air & on the ground (1:4:15). He even saw lasers (1:13) and forcefields that shot down and encased him (1:19:24) He met these beings that beamed him up and called them Angels and the Lord. (1:28). Some guy in a trailer park called them aliens. I call them both crazy. These devine aliens gave ezekiel a a secret recipe for 'bread'. (4:9) God then told him to put his own s h i t in the dough and eat it (4:12:15). God even told zeke to go to jerusalem and get the people there to eat the tainted--ahem-- blessed--loaves of bread. Anyone else have any true biblical humor to share?

Wha-? Atheists don't believe in Satan either - how could an imaginary being plant thoughts into a person and "lead him away" from God? What if the person NEVER believed? Then he can't be lead astray. And why is rationality on the person's part (personally to him) negative to others (and assumingly the result of an evil god - aka Satan) if he's happy and not harming anyone else? Are babies controlled by the Devil? They're atheists too.

Some atheists I know are far more knowledgable on the true meanings of scripture than the christian fundies that just talk silly stuff. Why is it that when talking scripture with atheists who know scripture, does it suddenly make sense?

I have to do a paper for school in which I compare my religion with one that isn't like mine. I am a non-practicing Catholic. Since this is a Christian religion, I am not allowed to choose another Christian religion to study. I need help identifying some non-Chrisitan religions.

So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this,
"Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

My question is, How did the Snake walk before..? Did they have legs and God took them away.?

Have you ever read what God has been saying of late through prophets? Do you think God can speak through a man or women today?

So you believe in Ghost,, spirit of dead people..
There is a spirit realm, is consists of two principles, Angels and Demons..
Now angels are under Gods command, they are here to protect and fight, fight demons...
Demons are here to wrack havoc.. they are the ones haunting or those so called ghosts you see.
The bible says to test each spirit that comes before you..
OK with that in mind, now your home and something happens, all of a sudden you see Grandma walking by, now in that moment..Are you scared? be honest,, do you say hey Grandma and invited her to sit down for some coffee or do you run and get scared, because this spirit is not the friendly grandma you remember..Why do you think you get so scared of Ghosts..Cause they are no such thing as ghosts, Really what you are seeing is a demon in the form of grandma,,, oh you can't say my grandma is a demon I'm saying its her at all.. its a demon deceiving you into thinking its grandma,, test that spirit next time, ask in whose name

I am an atheist myself, but I think religion helps structure society and maintain the law. I feel that athesim is the right path for me, but not for everyone.
Some people (rapists, criminals...) are unworthy of a knowledge-based society. They need a God to fear. The prison might not be as threatening as Hell.
Hence, I opt for the continuation of the myth of God.
Let the atheists enjoy their lack of belief and the ignorants dwell in fear of God. There is no need to preach atheism.
It'd bring chaos. What are your thoughts?
