I have to do a paper for school in which I compare my religion with one that isn't like mine. I am a non-practicing Catholic. Since this is a Christian religion, I am not allowed to choose another Christian religion to study. I need help identifying some non-Chrisitan religions.

Catholicism is definitely non christian.
no were in the bible does it say anything about purgatory, hail Marys, and calling a priest father. In most catholic churches it is also considered a sin to read the new testament out side of the council of a priest. The new testament is the only part of the bible the pertains to Christ and the new church. For a faction of a religion that literally means follower of Christ (christian) catholics sure like to keep it ambiguous. and confusing as hell.

It's more of a way of living as opposed to an organized religion, but Buddhism has some amazing history behind it.

Talk about Judaism. Jews believe in one God, but they don't believe that Jesus Christ was our savior. They believe that the savior is still yet to come. You can try out this website for information on the Jewish faith. www.askmoses.com
