I am completely offended that you consider being childlike the same as retarded...my son is 3 and possibly smarter then you.
No I do not find it creepy, god is our Heavenly Father and He wants us to believe Him, Love Him and rely on Him, like a child relies on it's Parent.

jesus wants us to be childlike in nature. To be as trusting and innocent as a child. TO trust in Him and to love HIm with a childlike faith. You see how children love someone unconditionally, they trust someone. God wants us to not get caught up in the trivial things of the adult world and start to love and trust him as a child love and trusts a kind father.

Jesus wants us to be as innocent as possible. In Actions.
We do not have to be uneducated to comply.
It is all about our attitude.
To be able to drive, yet ignore road rage.
To be insulted, and not react.
to use our commonsense and never put ourselves in a position where we can be conned or con others.
To always follow God's guidance.

The point of this is that we have to have the faith of a child in order to believe. Children are very trusting and that's God's desire for us.

I have never meet Jesus. He never said **** to me. My preacher didn't fool me when he said come children. I understood exactly what he was after... imposing his morals upon me. I didn't find it creepy just ******* annoying.
