If they lied a bit, showed the same genius for the creative fabrication of "truths" that the religious show they might have a chance of succeeding in convincing more people. Why don't they lie a bit and win some converts?

I know that Catholics baptize babies. I belong to a Christian church and I am not sure if I should have my son (15 months) baptized. Is it correct to wait until they are of an age to understand? What does the Bible say on this matter?

Who's side would he be on? Think about it for one minute. If His father created every man woman and child on earth what side does he save and who's child does he let die?

for the wisdom for this world is foolishness with god. for it is written, he taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
but with me it is a very small thing that i should be judged of you, or of man's judgement; yea i judge not mine own self.
for i know nothing by myself; yet am i not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the lord.

I am an atheist. My parents never talked to me about religion and I don't recall ever talking about religion with my parents. I am 22 and I went to church for the first time with a friend of mine. There is no way a person at 22 can just walk into church and become a believer. Their beliefs are just to nutty. They actually believe that if you drink wine, you are drinking Jesus's blood and if you eat a wafer, you are eating Jesus himself. Then there is a host of wierd rules they have to follow. I mean look at it from my point of view. If you haden't been raised a Christian, how would you feel if someone told you that theres some guy in the sky who made all these wierd rules for us to follow. I guess my friend would have to be in my position to understand cause she sure doesn't understand.

that according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the lord.
that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of me, but in the power of god.
for what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of god.
now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of god; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of god.
which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the holy ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
so then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but god that giveth the increase.
now he that planeth and he that watereth are one; and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
know ye not that ye are the temple of god, and that the spirit of god dwelleth in you?
let no man deceive himself. if any man amoung you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that eh may be wise.

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priesthoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).

Since then, Christian paganism has expanded to include Christmas trees, Easter eggs, and so forth.

I am interested in hearing from persons — whether Christian or not — who have an opinion on how to define "Christian mysticism." What separates Christian mysticism from other aspects of Christian spirituality? What distinguishes Christian mysticism from non-Christian forms of mysticism? Is there a difference between Christian mysticism and "new age" Christianity (like "A Course in Miracles" or the writings of Paul Ferrini)? And finally, how can mysticism be a significant part of Christianity in our time, and in the future? Please feel free to weigh in with your opinion, but I'm especially interested in scriptural support for whatever you may believe about this topic. Thank you!

“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. If he is the holy trinity as some Xians say meaning he's god, then why didnt he use his godly powers to stop the torture? He also knew he was going to commit suicide by making his divine information known to the masses. Why do you say he died for our sins, if he died for his own?

"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." ------ Thomas Jefferson

I've been rethinking my beliefs. For years I've had closed ears, eyes and mind to the world around me, because that's what my church taught me, especially when it came to any science that didn't fit what they thought the Bible said.

So why are they so dishonest... or at least willfully ignorant... if they are working for Jesus? They are breaking a commandment by bearing false witness about some of the thinks that disprove a 6 day creation.

Makes me wonder what else is lies.

Why does God demand that we kneel at his feet and people do, but for our own Earthly fathers people do not do the same for them? Surely that which you have tangible evidence of should be worth more than that which could be myth?

Why is it that God demands forgiveness but allows those of good character to be swallowed into the bowels of hell because they were not baptised?

Why in the bible does god speak, it is told that he name light that covered earth day and the darkness night... He also speaks saying "let there be light" and a whole host of other things... If he is omniscient, who is he talking to and what language is his native tongue?

Why does hell burn? While heaven is perceived as white clouds and pearly gates... Is this any different than political propaganda?

Why do people of faith have an ignorance that sees them try to push their faith on others, this is to the point that they conduct evil deeds in the name god?
