No. I think the soul is the road map to our lives. Our lives are a result of all the choices we have made, good or bad. If we were physical beings having a spiritual experience here on this planet then you would be right. However, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. Perspective and truth. It's all where you see things from and whether or not you see these things thru truth or falsehood. We must clear our minds of all preconceived ideas and let our soul and truth prevail together.

My life is responsible for the condition of my soul. In some ways that is good and in some ways bad. Life is a learning experience and I am still learning.

Our lives form our souls. When I use "soul" in this manner I mean it as a kind of metaphor for something that may or may not have an actual spiritual component.
