Rabbi Saul = St. Paul

"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." ------ Thomas Jefferson

Most do,some do not. i have never cared for anything by Saul. He was not really a Christian, more what we would call a messianic jew. He never really converted in my opinion. Quite unlike Luke, who details the early struggle between sincere Christians and the jews who tried to hijack Christ and His teachings for their own perverted purposes.

No, we believe that the letters and writings of Paul show an enormous amount of information regarding the early church and how it was run by Paul and his lot.

I doubt the words of Thomas Jefferson, not knowing his religious background (it just never seemed that important before). However I do know that Paul spent his entire life and died as he desperately sought to bring the church together to form the church Jesus described. Whether he was entirely correct or not I sometimes wonder, but I admire his zeal for God.

How little you know about the Bible like the Apostle Paul was personally chosen and he wrote the 13 books he did under the influence of the Holy Spirit and wise people listen to them fools ignore them and either end up in prison the hospital with STDs or the morgue wise person heed the words of a God and are benefited by them Gorbalizer

The words of Paul are equal in Truth to those of Our Lord. He was personally picked by Christ to spread the Word.

Paul’s assignment was not the same as those of the Gospel writers. His was to convert the Gentiles and show them meaning, actions and thought process of a Christian.

Your Jefferson quote, IF it is accurate and IF Jefferson said it is understandable since Jefferson was a Deist and as such did not believe in the Spiritual aspects of the Bible.

The Apostle Paul plainly stated, "Follow me, as I follow Christ". By the way; Paul [Saul] was once a Pharisee - of the tribe of Benjamen - blameless in the Law and was called of Jesus Christ, to represent Him. There was no better character on earth to "bridge" the gap in understanding and comprehension than Paul to weld Old Testament legalism to the New Covenant cross of grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.

Robert K is very wise indeed!

Jesus quoted from scripture often. Words that were inspired by God TO men.
Paul had the holy spirit just like the apostles. Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles.
I believe Paul's writings to be inspired by God or in the greek "God breathed".

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Although a great founding father he is mistaken. The words of Paul have not corrupted the teachings of Jesus but rather reinforced them with application and insight.

Saul was the greatest critic of Jesus, Until "Jesus came too him" from Heaven and asked him why "Saul" does this too him.

He then became, Paul, and became one of the greatest Christian followers...

Makes you think a little about Jesus, Huh?

If you denied someone, and then suddenly believed, after this person's death, would there be a reason?

It's my experience that those who are the most hateful towards other Christians (that don't subscribe to their particular beliefs) are the ones who worship Paul. And yes, they do put Paul above the gospels.

I'm not actually a Christian, but:
I'm afraid the answer is yes. I know that it's a work of fiction, but "The Davinci Code" expresses/explaines that idea beautifully.

Can ya tell i loved the book?
